You should also check out the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame version, with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood, Dhani Harrison and Prince, where Prince provided an absolutely fantastic guitar solo. Up until I saw that clip I didn't consider Prince a guitar virtuoso, but he was really a very underrated guitarist...

The friends of the parents in Mexico asked "Aren't you curious to see Juan's identical twin brother?" The parents said No, not really. If you've seen Juan, you've seen Amal..."
ReplyDeletePaul McCartney said in the Rick Rubin interviews on Netflix that George Harrison started writing this song when George was 13 while riding the bus to their school in Liverpool. Paul said that George showed up with a guitar on the bus one day and they became friends at that point.

That's a great video, but IMHO, the one for the ages was the tribute at the R&R Hall Of Fame, with Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne, Harrison's son Danni, and Prince (!) crushing the solo with a performance worthy of any Hall Of Fame, and putting Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen to shame.
