The idle musings of a former military man, former computer geek, medically retired pastor and now full-time writer. Contents guaranteed to offend the politically correct and anal-retentive from time to time. My approach to life is that it should be taken with a large helping of laughter, and sufficient firepower to keep it tamed!
Unfortunately, the vast majority of these kids have no idea what they are protesting. To them it is no different than a Saturday afternoon cheering on their football team. Dare we say that 3% of these folks are outside agitators? And they are professionals. Look at the different attitudes and poster of the ones getting arrested. The pros are like "just another day". The real students are running away
Texson: he bought an old silver? mine in south east CA! I assume he has no access to the internet or the grid out there, so the blog is not active. IIRC, he was getting near to retirement. Would have been neat to have him blog about working that old mine, though.
With Starlink now available, he could potentially return to the blog. A sister lives in the south AZ desert, and they are now using it for the web, so it's do-able. No idea what that costs her.
Didn't know where to put this. Just saw this today,5/3. United Methodist Church Rejects Christianity
It’s official; the United Methodist Church is no longer Christian. It has been absorbed into the cult of our degenerate ruling class. Consequently, church members are now expected to worship moonbattery:
The United Methodist Church, one of the largest Protestant denominations in the U.S., has voted to repeal its ban on LGBTQ clergy as well as prohibitions on its ministers from officiating at same-sex weddings.
Homosexuality is strictly proscribed throughout both Testaments. Embracing not repentant sinners but sin itself is an explicit rejection of Christianity. Sanctifying sin through the clergy and wedding ceremonies goes farther. It is blasphemy.
There was no floor debate. Those who would have put up a fight have already walked out:
[I]n the years leading up to this General Conference, about one-quarter of United Methodist congregations in the U-S left the denomination.
Those who don’t leave now have a higher authority to answer to than the kooks who have desecrated and destroyed their church.
T 1chota: The delegates who would have been opposed to the measure had already walked out of the meeting? Seems like something like that occurred in the Russian Duma in 1917 - 1918 which allowed the Bolsheviks to seize the Russian government. This can't end well.

Well, Pres. Biden said he wanted to be a unifier! It seems he finally succeeded.

Regards Steve's comment. The Russian Revolution began with only 3% of the population actively involved.
ReplyDeleteMr. Grant- what happened to the blogger at Lagniappe's Lair?
ReplyDelete@Texson: I understand he's no longer blogging.
