As you read these words, my wife and I will be heading for the DFW metroplex to have my 33 surgical staples withdrawn. I'm not looking forward to it one little bit, but the skin around the incisions is already looking increasingly irritated as they prevent further healing, so it's time it was done. If you hear several high-pitched yelps from that direction, it's only me . . .
Prayers for traveling safety and a safe return will be gratefully received, as always. I'll try not to bleed too much on the journey homeward.
Peter
destapilization - not quite sure how to spell it
ReplyDeleteall 60+ of mine came away/out with zero probs; I wish you the same
good healing to you
Safe travels and prayers for continued healing for you and your medical care team. For what it's worth, the one time I had staples removed it was not a difficult task. Relatively painless as I recall. May yours be the same.
ReplyDeleteYou and Dorothy have my sympathies. Heal up!
ReplyDeletePrayers up for safe travels and successful removal of the offending staples!
ReplyDeleteGoing through neck cancer treatments myself, believe me I commiserate. Just "routine", they say, but the process gets tedious as Hell. Prayers your way, Peter.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Peter. I remember the fear of getting mine removed once long ago because they looked horrible and I thought it would be unbelievably painful. ...Didn't feel a thing.
ReplyDeletePsalm 91 over you for protection. May Jehova Rapha heal you quickly. Be safe and God bless. 🙏
ReplyDeleteMy abdominal zipper, consisting one time of a slew of staples, was quite a sight to see, but staple removal was no issue at all. Think good thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHad that done a couple of times this year too, a few in my knee and a lot more in my belly. The removal process was not particularly enjoyable, but my God in Heaven was I happy to have them out.
