On the other hand, the modern world literally could not function without it, so I guess we have to put up with its quirks and quibbles . . .

  5. In my experience the wild conspiracy theories all came from the Chiefs Mess and usually from the E-8s.

  6. Society functioned just fine before the Internet. And while returning to a pre Internet society would be chaotic event, a strong case can be made that in the long run doing so would be a good thing.
