The most expensive hotel room in the world?
The Burj Al-Arab hotel in Dubai opened in 1999.
At the time, its Royal Suite was the most expensive hotel accommodation in the world, costing as much as $27,000 per night.
It's since been reduced in price, thanks to the worldwide economic recession. It can apparently be had at present for the bargain price of only about $2,000 per night - although that's still way beyond this blogger's means!
The Royal Suite covers almost 8,400 square feet (780 square meters) on multiple levels. Here's the master bedroom. (Yes, the bed revolves - as if you needed to ask!)
The bathrooms are equally ornate.
Luxpresso has a great photographic feature on the Royal Suite, from which the above pictures were drawn. Go click through it for a display of decadence that'll boggle your mind!
Peter
Sweet suffering Jesus and his eight tiny reindeer! That place is ugly with a capital Ug!
ReplyDeleteIf President Obama sees this it'll go to the top of Michelle's vacation list!
ReplyDeleteYou wil rarely see a photo of this hotel taken from the Gulf side. That's because it looks like a cross from that angle and that's a decidely un-Muslim image! They probably wish they hadn't added that restaurant/observation platform near the top.
ReplyDeleteThat place is nothing. You should see my duplex in old Jax Beach!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look very comfortable.
