Kiss and make-up? Not in the cosmetics industry


There's an interesting article in the New York Post about the commercial and personal rivalry between Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubenstein, iconic legends in the cosmetics industry.  I won't go into detail here, but if such things interest you, it's worth a read.

It reminded me of a joke going around in South Africa during the 1970's:

Q:  Why did Elizabeth Arden?

A:  Because Max Factor.
