It was the last day of the deer hunt, and my dad hadn't bagged his buck. He was feeling sore about it and doing fall cleanup in our suburban garden with poor grace, when he heard a screech, a THUMP, and, after a minute, sirens. He hurried out front to talk to the rather shaken bus driver and the police officer, retrieved his tag from the house, and dragged that buck to the backyard. It was the biggest buck he'd ever gotten. :D The memes this week are top-notch!
