The Best Phone Call
I just got a phone call from Peter's cell. He's very groggy, but wanted to let me know he's fine, and for me to let y'all know he's fine. He should be transferred to the cardiac ward tomorrow.
I'm so very happy to hear that he's doing okay. The thoughts and prayers should be coming in by the truckload, and there won't be a shortage from Casa de Tweaker!
The Good Lord works in mysterious ways, and the next time He sends you a friendly and overweight cat that likes pizza, take the hint and feed more of it to the critter.
Glad to hear the progress continues. Welcome to the "Zipper Chest Club". Enjoy the intimate time with your bath sheet buddy and the pillow on your chest for the next six weeks.
Did you know you'll be able to terrorize small children without saying a word, or even looking at them? Just take your t-shirt off at the pool and listen to the crickets chirp... until a ear-splitting screech comes from one of the rug rats as they first catch sight of your incision scars...
That is great news!
ReplyDeleteAwesome possum!
ReplyDeleteHe needs to get better because I have not cool links to share on Twitter now. ;-P
For some reason, I keep listening to "Classical Gas" as performed by Vanessa Mae. Big smiles!
ReplyDeleteKeep an eye out for blood clots. Those can ruin a day.
Miss D: many thanks.
Peter: Order cheese danish delivered to the ward - and give it to the best nurse or orderly!
Glad to see this. Wishes for a speedy recovery.

ReplyDeletePeter, ya beat me! I only merited a triple :-(
ReplyDeleteThe next couple of days won't be fun, but good medical care and your own resilience will help you through it.
You'll amaze yourself how soon you'll be up and about.
You'll actually come out of this stronger and better than you went in, hard as it may be to believe that right now.
Best wishes.
Continued best wishes and prayers for a rapid recovery.
ReplyDeleteThread at APS contains many best wishes as well, Peter.
