How do you like the new look?
I've switched to a new template, in an effort to sort out some problems with the old one. Specifically, it wasn't displaying bulleted lists correctly; it put block-quote text in italics, rather than standard text; and there were issues with how it handled pictures.
I'd appreciate your feedback on whether this new template and color selection works for you. Please respond in a comment to this post, and let me know what you think. I'll probably make some minor adjustments based on your feedback - unless you all hate it, in which case it'll be back to the drawing-board!

Since I use Google Reader I seldom notice blog layouts. But this doesn't look bad. However the 22in widescreen kind of stretches it out.
Slick! It now spreads the whole width of my screen. Nixe colors too.
I find the peachy color very soothing to the eyes.
Peter, As one who dislikes change in general, it took me a minute, but on reflection I think it looks good.
I like it. I generally read this on my laptop, at 1280x800 on a 15.4" display, and the full use of the screen width works for me.

Much better, Peter.
I'll second the Google User seldom noticing blog layouts commnet. This looks fine (I am not a fan of peach, but that is my lack of taste ...)
If you are really bored, fire up Chrome and watch the text jiggle as you adjust the width. Quantum text maybe?
It is Good.
Thanks to all who've commented so far. I'm glad this works for you.
The 'peach' color was chosen from the available palette because it seemed the closest I could get to a sand-colored background, and still be easy on the eye, without any strain or excessive brightness. I wanted something that could be read in anything from bright sunlight to candlelight. This seems to work pretty well.
As for filling a wide screen - well, yes, that was part of the idea! This template should adjust itself to display across the width of any screen, depending on your Web browser. The old one was originally designed for the 'good old days' of 800x600 Super VGA displays, a good ten years ago, and didn't adjust itself to take advantage of higher-resolution displays. This one will.
The only thing I'd suggest would be to increase your font size one up. Small print gives me a headache after a bit.
Looks good.
Crucis, I've upped the size of the default font. How does that look?
The new font size is much better.
Thanks!
