Emergency preparations, Part 4: A useful reality check

(Other articles in this series are listed in the sidebar, or you can click here to display them all in reverse chronological order.)

Miss D. has been reading my posts on this subject so far, and discussing them with me, and also perusing some of the Web sites catering to the more hard-core 'survivalists' among us. She's found the latter somewhat less than inspiring, largely due to the extreme attitudes displayed by many of their authors and commentators.

In response, she's written her own article about preparing for emergencies, offering some factors for consideration that might not occur to many of us (certainly including me!) She speaks wisdom. I recommend that you head over to her place and read her comments for yourself. We can all benefit from keeping them in mind.

(And no, she didn't have to threaten me to make me post the link!)

As the old bit of student wisdom goes, the EOTWAWKI will not happen BEFORE the Paper is due.

Miss D's list was quite useful & thoughtfully considered. Having said that, yours are equally good.

Merry Christmas, y'all!
