Courtesy of an e-mail from reader Cliff C., we find this report at Gawker:
A shopkeeper in China was fatally injured last week after a woman with whom he was clashing clutched his testicles, and squeezed them until he blacked out.
. . .
At some point during the melee, the woman latched on to the proprietor's privates, and refused to let go until the man passed out. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
There's more at the link.
I would call the report ball-derdash, but it's confirmed by China's Global Times. I didn't know testicular pain could cause death . . . but I'll keep it firmly in mind from now on!

I guess she was a real ball buster.

I was always taught that enough damage to the testes could induce shock and shock could cause death.
Apparently an unarmed nation is not un-armed!
I took a self-defense class once where the instructor taught us to not just strike the testicles, but to "grab, squeeze, and yank - try to tear them off." The theory was that this caused much greater pain and injury than 'merely' hitting them.
I'll take his word for it.
I've also heard that enough pressure to the...parts, could kill a poor fellow, and that would be terrible, terrible, terrible way to go.
Don't recall the magazine but I have a back issue of something, article was called "the Ball Game." Basically said, if you're in a fight, keep your jewels in mind, as it would be a distinct (9/10) possibility that either deliberate or not, you'd be struck there. And in a fight versus a woman, that was almost 100% surety.
And, since you can't exactly train to deal with a blow to that particular region without severe risk, planning to avoid being struck could avoid serious trouble.
