Parking FAIL!

I'm not sure whether this is real, because to have so many things arriving in the shot in so short a time seems a bit contrived . . . but it's still fun to watch the unfolding disaster!

I'm tempted to say that even a 'Smart car' couldn't compensate for the lack of smarts of that driver!

Wouldn't surprise me that a street so narrow would be a thoroughfare in those parts - then it really does take just one fail to block it up!

That is priceless. I would say authentic, too.

It's in Italy, when it comes to traffic/parking, they're infamous for being idiots. Look at that street, it's so full of parked cars on both sides, and it's a two-way street that isn't wide enough to allow meeting cars to pass due to all the parked cars.

Just pick the thing up and put it in a parking space.

stay safe.

I realize it was shot in Italy, but it could have been made in Ireland too. Cross-parking (driving across the oncoming lane to park facing the wrong wdirection) is not only common in Ireland but legal as well.

Sure it is not too bad in the country, but they do it in busy cities as well.

And never a horn blows. I was told by an Irish once that the Irish see horn blown as very rude.

I wondered why they didn't just pick up the car and turn it around it's small enough and there's plenty of people.

I'm with Anon... I've SEEN them just pick a car up and move it, and those little 500s are NOT that heavy!

Military guys think that way, but most civilians don't (I've found). I still remember riding a bus on active with a bunch of shipmates and getting rear-ended at a stop light. Funny, it was in Italy. We got out and noted that the car's bumper was wedged under the bus's so they interlocked. 12 of us lifted the bus while the other 7 disconnected and moved the car back. We got back in the bus and took off, figuring that the polizia would find a way to make it our fault if we stuck around.

Shortly after I learned to drive, in Montreal, I parked myself into an embarrassing dilemma. The space was a smidgin too small. But, I figured I could get in. I did. Getting out was another matter entirely. Never again. :)
