A happy, holy and blessed Christmas to all my readers

The world can often seem a very dark place;  yet, in the midst of the darkness, even the smallest light can be seen for a very long way.  It draws people.  It changes them.  It renews them.

Christmas is that sort of time for me.  The Light is coming into the world.  Let us receive it - Him - with gladness, and joy, and gratitude.

I wrote back in 2008 about 'The night Christmas became real' - at least, real for me.  I don't think I can top that, so I'll simply refer you to it once more.

May each of you have a happy, holy and blessed Christmas, whether you believe in God or not.  May you be blessed regardless.

Peter

Hey Peter;

Merry Christmas to you and yours, I remember you posting that story a while back, and I read it again, it still brings dust to my eyes, the crisis of faith and redemption. Again thank you for sharing.

just read the older post.
their garments rolled in blood shall be burned---but not yet.
the time is not ripe.
Jesus likened the passage of time to the seasons. we watch for the times for planting and harvesting.
so the times are not yet far enough advanced for the great harvest. some say that succoth has already been fulfilled, but us Orthodox it is the last to be fulfilled.
when the harvest is gathered in this time, time will be completed.
then there will come the age of Emmanuel, where He pitches His tent among us and sups with us.

the part i cannot understand is that there is predicted to be another rebellion, this one not incited by demons.
how can humanity do such a thing.
terrible to contemplate.

only God can save us.

p.s.- my husband has cancer, please pray for him to be healed.
many thanks.
