I'm being bombarded with various bits and pieces of life, the universe and everything. I'm arguing with doctors, trying to sort out a tax question, cleaning up and throwing out a bunch of "stuff" in the garage, doing normal domestic chores, and trying to research a particular issue for inclusion in the book I'm currently working on (the second volume of a US Civil War naval trilogy).
Basically, I have to take a day off blogging to catch up with myself and some of these issues. I'll try to make time to put up a proper blog post tomorrow.
Have fun, y'all!
Peter

No need for an explanation of how Life works - we get it. Blogging is an activity of fun for both writer and reader and when circumstances prevent us from participating - it is baked in the cake.
I hope you slay the dragons that are interfering with your Life at the moment. We will be here when you get back.
as Pappy would say in similar sitashuns; "walk slow and drink plenty of water'. We in the Peanut Gallery ainna going anywhere. Fine Business.
It's cool, Peter. Take care of bidness, we'll be here later...
Have you published the first volume yet?
As a fellow blogger, I think it's obvious that we all spend too much time on the internet. I need to think about that with Lent coming.
Peter, your FIRST responsibility is to The Lord. Second is to your partnership w/ you and your bride. Your blogging public comes in around 100th.
HANDLE LIFE!!
We really WILL be here if you need a few days to do reality.

What they all said.
In CB trucker lingo, "We'll catch you on the flip-flop." Do find time while you are getting things straightened up to enjoy some time with Dorothy and the critters.
Do what you need to to survive.
Heck, I'm just baking a couple loafs of bread. I must do more!~
Wow, you and me both brother. I am trying to sell two of my four businesses. My software business needs about a hundred hours a week right now as usual. And I was diagnosed with a 1/8th inch diameter mass in my lungs last August, I go next week to check the status of it. So what am I doing right now, surfing the intertubes !
Keep your head down. If you are working on book two of a trilogy do you have a link to number one? Need a good read to distract me from the ever increase bad news. Even discounting the fact most of the news media lies.
It's life, we'll be around.
Do not pay taxes on your go fund me. Individual gift limits are over 15k IIRC (and should be higher since you have a spouse and are likely filing jointly), so so long as all individual contributions are below the gift limit, you're golden.
The recipient of a gift shouldn't have any tax liability for it. The donor needs to file if the amount is over $19,000 per recipient, but still doesn't pay tax until you give away more than $15 million.
