Today's winner found (temporary) fame in Whittier, Alaska.
Whittier Police Department Chief Dave Schofield says the driver was in a Subaru with two dogs and a cat as he drove off the ferry at about 6:15 a.m., in the dark under heavy rain. When the vehicle’s GPS told the driver to turn right, he then drove down a ramp into the harbor at near high tide, submerging the vehicle in five feet of water.
There's more at the link.
I think that must be the most-quickly-committed navigational error in quite some time! If he was trying to be funny, he'll have to come up with something Whittier than that . . .

Booo! (for the bad pun) ... okay, I'm just upset that I didn't think of it first.
He was, quite literally, just off the boat. Most people up here don't think he'll last the winter.
Rev. Paul has a Chad Carpenter cartoon on his website where the caption is,"Alaska. Step off the bus and into the food chain."
I don't know about other places, but Alaska can kill you if you don't pay attention.
