. . . I've thoroughly enjoyed the news reports and media fuss about them. I don't believe for a moment that it's a real product: instead, I think it was a great idea to get maximum publicity for Amazon.com's online shopping service the day before Cyber Monday. Here's Amazon's publicity video for the announcement.
Now Waterstones, a major UK book retailer, has come up with its response to Amazon.com. In the light of the Harry Potter books, is it any wonder that it's an owl delivery service?
Next thing you know, the Animal Liberation Front (which appears to have no sense of humor at all) will be targeting Waterstones . . .

Don't you mean, "Next thing you know, the Animal Liberation Front (which appears to have no sense at all) will be targeting Waterstones . . ."?
I'm looking forward to the first terrorist grenade or poison delivery....
And how many new air traffic controllers would it take to implement your plan, sir?
That many???
Besides, I'm pretty sure than an airline captain on short final would not want one of these deliverybots whizzing across his line of sight, or getttng devoured into his engines.
Great spoof, though. You may now doff your tinfoil hats.
so if I shoot one down do I get free books?
@Anonymous at 10:32 AM: Only in exchange for its cargo . . .
