I'm a complete stranger to the idea of swiping left or right on a dating app on my phone. The idea seems somehow repellent to me. I'm very glad I met my wife through the introduction of a mutual friend!

A couple of years after my wife died, my two neighbor women set me up to meet a woman at a restaurant. It had 3 exits from the parking lot (just in case)...and didn't need them. We've been married 14 years, now.
Under our current system of courtship, men do most of the date-asking and women get to squish men's fragile egos like Fudgesicles on a Los Angeles freeway. I'm reasonably certain that men did not invent this system.
