I'm beginning to think right-wing knuckleheads are worse than left-wing

What gave rise to that thought was the outrage being expressed at Pam Bondi, our new Attorney-General, for her "delay" in not releasing the latest Epstein files right away, without prior scrutiny.  It's not surprising to anyone who has even a smidgen of legal knowledge.  Those files have to be examined page by page, paragraph by paragraph, sentence by sentence, because if something is released that impacts ongoing court cases or affects one of Epstein's victims, there'll be hell to pay.

Jeff Childers sums it up very well.

We think we’ve captured the Deep State on Twitter, but they’re using Twitter to capture us.

🪖 I won’t bury the lede. I will tell you exactly how they’re doing it to us. And then I will show you just where it has cropped up next.

Step One: Pick an effective conservative figure with influence or political power.

Step Two: Wait for them to do something even slightly open to interpretation.

Step Three: Seed social media with just enough innuendo to turn skepticism into a purity spiral.

Step Four: Place the popcorn bag in the microwave, label side down.

Let me now introduce you to one Pamela “Jane” Bondi, Trump’s pick for Attorney General:

You already know the maddening story. For ages, Pam promised to release the Epstein files. Last week, the highly anticipated Epstein reveal exploded like a DNC pipe bomb in a chaotic, misfired disaster. Blame ricocheted to the FBI’s SDNY field office, and within days, its never-Trump assistant director abruptly resigned. But what didn’t happen was any Epstein data dump. Instead, we got a mess of official explanations—none of which made sense.

🪖 In immediate response, as though from nowhere, a huge black-pilled mob rose up to take Pam down. She’s part of the coverup! She’s on the list! She was probably in on it from the start! Progressive media, otherwise allergic to Epstein stories, suddenly discovered a fresh sense of urgency, sprang into action, and began excavating a massive pig-pile of blame.

. . .

🪖 COINTEL. It has all the hallmarks. Let me show you. But first, to answer the inevitable objection, I am not saying we shouldn’t hold conservative leaders to account or nudge them in the right direction. Of course we should. But keeping our own side accountable should not involve character assassination or unsupported allegations or imputed motives.

Yesterday, some people were convinced to jettison a conservative Supreme Court Justice based on an ambiguous facial expression. That is not how we should hold our key conservatives to account.

Here are the red flags that Bondi’s character assassination is a psyop. First, Democrats are gleefully joining in. These are the same people shrieking about DOGE getting access to private IRS files, but now, they suddenly reject the idea that Pam might need to redact witness and source information? When did Democrats become the champions of full disclosure?

Second, all the angst is based solely on guesses about Pam’s dark motives, with zero rational examination of the actual facts. Here’s a fact: If Pam releases the Epstein files too quickly and even one accidentally unredacted sex-trafficked victim claims her life is ruined—or if one confidential source is put “in danger”—Democrats will never shut up about it. And they’ll use it to take down the entire Trump Administration. It will be evidence of Trump’s recklessness and “moving too fast.” That’s the minefield Pam is tiptoeing through.

Of course, she must be careful. She must be double-careful, since there are malign actors inside the FBI who might mis-redact the files on purpose just to create that scandal.

Here’s another fact. Pam said the FBI was resisting her directives. And people just dismissed that? Out of hand? Really? After everything we’ve seen, does anyone seriously doubt that the FBI has people trying to sabotage her?

Another fact: Pam has been on the job for a few weeks. And yet, some people think she can just log in, click “Epstein Files.zip,” and hit “Download.” Guys, be serious. Realistically, pulling it all together could take years.

The point isn’t to make excuses for Pam Bondi. That’s not my job. I’m not even arguing that everything is legit. The point is that no reasoned discussion is happening—and that is a red flag. What we see is pure outrage. Manufactured outrage. At our own side. And it’s doing exactly what it was designed to do: creating infighting, breeding factionalism, and tearing MAGA apart from within.

There are enemies within. Let’s not make things easy for them.

There's more at the link:  and, as always with Jeff Childers, it's all worth reading.

The outraged frothing-at-the-mouth that I've seen from some right-wing and conservative commenters is so over-the-top it's ridiculous.  Sure, I don't think Pam Bondi is an angel in human form, and I'm sure she's made mistakes in the past, and I don't expect her to be a legal and intellectual Einstein when it comes to the myriad challenges facing her in one of the toughest jobs in the United States.  I do, however, think that President Trump appointed her because he thinks she's the best person to do that job.  That being the case, I accept his judgment - after all, a great deal of the success of his administration will be riding on her, so he's had to be very careful about his choices! - and, like him, I'll give her space and time to settle in, and deal with the Deep State opposition to the President's policies that's presently baked-in to the Justice Department.  It's going to take hard work and a lot of time to get rid of that hangover.  Good luck to her as she tackles it - and let's not be too eager to criticize.  How well would we do in such a position?  I'm willing to bet I wouldn't do well at all . . . so I'll cheer her on from the sidelines.

I noticed a ton of attacks on Pam Bondi yesterday over on 90 Miles From Tyranny in his regular groups of memes that he posts several times a day. They referred to her as Blondi and just piled attack after attack on her.

She wasn't exactly a stellar choice based on how all of Florida state government reacted to the school shooting that gave the snot-nosed Hogg kid his career. But as AG, she either opposed her boss, Governor-now-US Senator Rick Scott (AKA resigning) or try to minimize the damages. I don't know that anything they were doing even asked for her input.

Some stuff has to be redacted, and yes, it really does take time. But...

“Is that the only thing that will be redacted?” asked Hannity. “National security?” the host tried a little later.

“National security, some grand jury information—which is always going to be confidential.

"National security"? What; redact out all the high level DC insiders on the client list, because revealing and busting them all would impact government ops?

I'll wait and see; but that possibility bugs me.

TBH, I want them to hold onto that information just before the midterms and use it to squeeze the life out of the deep state dwellers who are desperate to avoid being made public. Blackmail them. Lean on them to vote your way or help you clean house. The whole time, investigate them to find out what crimes they committed and what you can actually charge them for. Then, after you're ready to make arrests and you've squeezed all value out of the snakes, release it all and perp walk all of them on livestreamed video.

She took the initiative to institute a bumpstock ban on her own, before Trump had even talked about it. She supported stripping Americans from 18-20 years old of their 2A rights. The Epstein files have been reviewed for years now. Years. But I don't care about them, really. I just think she's a conservacuck/cuckservative gun grabber.

Yes.
The use of propaganda to discredit is widespread.

It has been said the term "conspiracy theorist" was inserted into mainstream discourse by the gov., to aid in discrediting people who came up with inconvenient questions.

There is another angle- when too many "conspiracy theory's" pan out, a totally whacked out theory can be stuck to the theorists, therefore discrediting all of their observations.
"Chemtrails" are an excellent example of this- idiotic, but some people on the right lap it up. The amorphous nature of it is so appealing, perhaps. "They" are out to get us!

With the memory of Jeff Sessions still echoing in my mind, I'm not willing to do a lot of waiting on some results from Pam. Also she has a history of espousing red flag laws. That's a hard no from me, because the 2A is my single issue for my voting.

This kind of flack truly tests good leaders: getting the job done even under friendly fire.

Had Trump's first choice, Matt Gaetz, become AG, could we expect anything different?

Really, can anyone provide a cogent answer how it would have played out differently. Let's hear it from the critics!

Explain that 'release to conservative influencers' BS? Who thought that was a good idea?

The idjits want instant action, and when they don't get it, they drag up anything they can find to 'support' their positions. Sigh...

“Is that the only thing that will be redacted?”.

Oh please....

People like Hannity will never be satisfied. They could hold the original documents in their hands and still wonder if they are fakes or 'redacted'. You just do you best and then ignore them.

She is a lawyer. As elected Florida's Attorney General, she was obligated ethically, whatever her private opinions, to go her best for the state. Likewise, as the United States Attorney General, she still has the duty to be a professional lawyer.

And a note to Anonymous posters. If you don't have the courage to put you name to you pontifications, you have the same credit-ability as "anonymous sources".

So, of course, the FBI has had the files for years, and there is no need to examine them line by line because it has already been done, unless raw documents were sent necessitating the repetition of months of work. Surely the FBI wouldn't do that. I mean after hiding the records, they'll come clean, right?

Trump has done some awesome things, but it is a start. Tell the Deep State to tow the line, and then ferret out those who are actively resisting. Keep in mind these people are experts at malicious compliance. Bait a trap, see what you catch. Document, Document, Document and fire or file criminal charges. Rinse, lather, and repeat. Way more than four years of work here. Have it done in 5 weeks - let's get real. Already got a major swamp snake to resign. Good progress!

Regarding Epstein stuff, I read what Mike Cernovich has to say on the topic, since he was the one who originated the lawsuit that eventually broke open the Civil case (it was later joined by a newspaper who had the leverage to keep it from being stonewalled forever.)

He said, when the indictment of the Criminal case went out, that it was unusually narrow (rather than broad) and only covered some crimes in NYC itself, and so the FBI did not immediately try to collect any evidence at any of his other properties. When the FBI finally got around to those other properties, for some reason, there was nothing much left to find.

So, I don't expect much to be learned, and neither does he.

The Epstein clients will be well represented. Any error at this point may make critical evidence inadmissible. I only hope that the FBI maintained the video tapes that they planned to blackmail politicians with in good shape...

FWIW

Today's Coffee and Covid newsletter on this -

"Yesterday, I talked down a circular firing squad aimed at a Supreme Court Justice. Earlier this week, I was forced to defend our new HHS Secretary. Today, I’ll discuss the bombs we’re planting in our own living room about our new Attorney General, who isn’t going fast enough so get rid of her!!

If you’re spending time on social media, you know exactly what I’m talking about. But it’s mostly fake. It’s a psyop. I’ll show you precisely how they keep manipulating us through motive imputation.

Sometimes, I wonder where the most self-destructive hot takes start. Are they really organic? Or are malignant tares hiding in the social media wheat field, covertly sowing seeds of acrimony to see what’ll get us to set fire to the harvest?"

Arguendo, let's concede the point re: the Epstein Files.

Now do the 62-year-old JFK files, and the 57-year-old RFK files.

I'll be over here humming the old tune from "Final Jeopardy".

She is a lawyer. I call that strike 1
She misled at best, falsified at worst testimony and documents in the st treyvon fiasco. I call that strike 2
She led the fight for red flag laws in fl I call that strike 3
Trump picked her, so I give her the benefit of the doubt..... reset, let's say

Now, not being a lawyer ( I thank God for that by the way) I may not know the intricasies of the law, BUT I know this has been investigated to death. Just from the charging, arrest, conviction and sentencing of Ghislane Maxwell for....
1 Conspiracy to Entice Minors to Travel to Engage in Illegal Sex Acts
2 Enticing a Minor to Travel to Engage in Illegal Sex Acts
3 Conspiracy to Transport Minors with Intent to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity
4 Transporting a Minor with Intent to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity
5 Transporting a Minor with Intent to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity

So, barring all the talk of protecting victims, which I agree with of course, my question remains this, Did she traffic children to no one?

Would seem a simple thing to me to go thru and pull the list of clients and release that.

Having said that. bondi lied to us on national tv. Not an auspicious start for someone entrusted with recovering the trust of the American people in the doj after all we have seen of their actions. The release to the idjits on social media was just a stupid mistake, totally forgiveable. Bad optics, lack of coordination, etc etc

But the woman lied to us on national tv.

Did the NY office withhold documents from AG Bondi? Pretty weak on her part. Once or twice a week pressers should be enough for transparency or maybe AG Bondi ought to do her job and leave most of the press to, ta da, Office Of Public Affairs.
What possible "national security" issues can there be in a sex abuse/trafficking(blackmail?) case? Undercover agents, whistle blowers, and the like, sure. "Friendly" government involvement?
Cases take time to be made but we cannot make the FBI comfortable until it can be put out in the open

According to Robert Stinnet, at the time he wrote his book "Day Of Deceit", there still documents relating to Pearl Harbor that are still classified.

Funny how when there was this supposed Epstein case against Prince Andrew, there was all sorts of "evidence" instantly available, bimbos coming out of the woodwork left and right, none stop coverage etc. When its Americans, ie. everyone else, crickets! Spare me your hypocrisy! You will NEVER have any release of this, too many will be powerful magnates, politicians, and those with friends in high places. Who's your Commander in Chief again? You know, the one who picks up the phone and sends a battalion of federal troops to secure FBI headquarters and retrieve any and all documentation? Not going to happen! If it was going to happen, would have done so five minutes after the first hint of obstruction!
Finally, any one having a problem with my Nom de Plume can bite me!
