(A quick note for readers: Some weeks (as last week, and again today) I won't have many memes to post. That's because I try to only select memes that really did make me smile or laugh. Sometimes there are lots of them, but other times, I find they're mostly re-runs of older memes, or I simply don't find them very funny. Other times, I may not have had time to do a lot of Web browsing that week. So, during weeks like that, please bear with me.)
More next week.
Peter

That cat is NOT saying "world". Cats swear much more than we know. Jean

When I got out of the Army, I wasn't allowed in polite company for about 6 months. Had to learn not to say "fuck" every other word.
I'm stealing a couple of these to send to my daughter. She needs some cheering up today.
When I got out of the Navy, I retrained myself not to swear by deliberately substituting words such as golliwhillikers, gosharooty, and the like for the words I wanted to avoid.
Then I used the embarrassment of using those words to cut down on *their* use. Took about a year. Of course, over the decades since, profanity crept back into my speech, but to nowhere near the extent it had been during my service days.
Forcing myself not to cuss after being at sea for months pretty much rendered me MUTE!!!
Hi Peter
O/T and FYI
A look at

lol...
I didn't curse at all when serving.. then I learned to sail and hung out with a sailing crowd. curse like a sailor now.
Though... I'm very careful how I curse.. stubbed toe... curse like a sailor. Mad at someone.. don't curse at all. Never curse at anyone ever. There is power in words.. don't use them to harm others.
