There's a video on X.com showing a Russian army officer opening some of the candies and chocolate that have been found in the battle zones in Ukraine. If you're logged into X, here's the link. If you aren't a member of X, here's an alternative link that will let you play the video. The candy is loaded with explosives and a detonator, proving that too many sweets really are bad for you!
There are plenty of comments following the video that are worth reading. My favorite is from user Bitcoin Wizard - mavensbot:

Typical Russian behavior. You can't gather them up afterwards, but they're just peasants so who cares.
Note their attitude towards mapping minefields.
This is likely to be the attitude of the Ukrainians too though.
Copycat of Israel building a fake company to sell better and cheaper pagers to Lebanon with explosives. Waiting a few years to be the dominate pager company, then le boom.
Crippled far too many Doctors, Nurses and other folks that use pagers for daily employment.

Are the Russians making this "candy" or the Ukrainians? Because if it's the Russians it's bad, and indefensible, but if it's the Ukrainians it's definitely justifiable and totally okay...for reasons. And if it's both? See previous response.

But given a Russian is showing them to us implies the Ukrainians deployed them.
Ukrainian propaganda is quick about pointing out "Russian evil aggression againstcivilians" across All major American mass media.
Thus I think it's a Ukrainian boobytrap.

Variations on that tactic have been around for a long time. We did it to the VC in Nam with ammo. A Ka Blam sometimes became a KABOOM.
Right now it looks like a toss up that the booby trap was set by good guys/bad guys. Which is which depends on where you are standing. Long ago in a strange far away place, I learned if you didn't bring it - leave it alone.
Sigh... nothing new here. I know it goes back at least to WWI, if not before.
I wonder if the bottom of the package says "Made in China. "

As for explodee and medical, my understanding was that during Vietnam, the VC would wrap a wounded soldier with a grenade so that when back at the unit, the medical would start to unwrap to tend the wound and boom. Ecclesiastes 1:9 nothing new under the sun.
In vietnam the US developed a explosive that looked like chinese gunpowder rods. They loaded random ammo in it and got it into the Vietnamese supply lines. When a round was fired it would blow up the gun.
This sort of dangerous left behinds has a very long history, though i think the video is fake. Either that or he handles the explosive poorly.
