Given the H1B visa brouhaha...

There's an awful lot of hot air being wasted on the subject right now.  For a reasonably well-balanced and well-informed article, see John Wilder's comments.

Thought this was a pretty reasonable discussion as well ...

The article Karl Denninger did on it a few days ago was good, pointing out how the law is being blatantly violated in filling the visa slots. If the law were actually being followed, it doesn’t sound like those visas would be as big a problem as they are.

Thank you, that Wilder guy writes some interesting stuff.

The law was never written nor intended to be followed.
It was written as a sop to cover for u bridled corruption and subversion of the immigration law, and at that task it has succeeded far beyond anyone's wildest expectations.
For decades.

It is doing exactly what it was intended to do.
QED

This is why it should be removed with a flamethrower, and heads should be put on pike poles if redress is not forthcoming.
Starting with foreign-born apologists like Elon Musk.

He is eminently replaceable too.
The republic and its culture, by contrast, are non-negotiable assets.
