Along the same lines as the second to last one, there was a big news story several years ago about a guy hiking out west who got trapped when a boulder rolled onto him and pinned him to the ground. He had to cut his own arm off with a pocket knife to escape alive.
I've never heard of anyone getting their hand trapped in a bag of Doritos and having to cut it off.
@SiGraybeard Odd/wierd attachment to that story, my cousin (ER Dr.) was on the same trail at the same time. Literally went left when the guy trapped went right. Had he gone right, would have come across him within an hour or two of that guy being trapped.
I spend a great deal of time in the bush. If the now one-armed dude had taken the utterly basic precaution of advising someone of his route and expected return time then he'd probably still have 2 arms.
For a multi day trip you take a Personal Locater Beacon or perhaps a satphone.
On one job it was interesting how the number of indian programmers multiplied as the project got longer and more expensive and success receded further and further. It all appeared to start from hiring an indian to head up the project.

I thought it was the Crows and Owls being in Caw-Hoots.
I'm not short. I'm built low to the ground for stability and resistance to high wind conditions.
