On the subject of flies........ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_v2exWrsGOc Could not resist it.
Some good ones! The second is exactly why, at almost 69, I sleep in a hammock when camping on motorcycle trips, instead of on the ground in a tent. The prize for most subtle goes to the one with Gimli and Aragorn. Have a Good Day!
Durex is a UK and therefore Empire / Commonwealth provision. USA was dominated by another brand In jungle, swamp warfare they, embarrassingly small ones, were used to seal a guns muzzle against water and muck ingress. No need to waste time removing before firing. They were used to keep small essentials, like matches and tobacco dry. They may have been used to prevent parasites entering the urethra when wading. And soldiers must have used them as balloons, inflating them using cigarette smoke filled lungs. As well as stress relieving water bomb engagements. Such larks.
