Sunday morning music

I've found that a lot of people know the more "common" songs by Jethro Tull, but most are unaware that there are literally dozens of less-well-known pieces out there.  Some are outtakes, some are from concept albums that were never released as such, and some appeared in other channels.  Many of them are a lot of fun, and I enjoy listening to them.

Today I'd like to bring you four of Jethro Tull's less-well-known pieces.  The first, originally intended for their album "Broadsword and the Beast" but left off the final set, is called "Motoreyes".  This recording is from the compilation album "20 Years of Jethro Tull".

Next, here's the theme music from the 1984 Channel 4 television series "Blood Of The British".  David Palmer wrote most of the music for the series, but Jethro Tull performed the title song, "Coronach".

From their double CD "Nightcap:  The Unreleased Masters 1973-1991", here's "Rosa On The Factory Floor".

And finally, again from their "20 Years of Jethro Tull" compilation, here's one of my favorites:  "Part Of The Machine".

Please let me know in Comments if these songs were new to you, and if you'd like more of Jethro Tull's less-well-known music.  If so, I'll put up a few more posts like this.

I've liked Tull since the first time I heard of them and have all of their albums. Saw them in Nashville on their "Stormwatch" tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Tull is always welcome in my opinion.

I was attracted to Tull as a teenager because like Marshall Tucker, they fronted a flutist!
I was a flutist and drove everyone nuts trying to emulate Ian's breathy rock flute style.
Different?
Yes
I also enjoyed that Tull often rejuvenated the lilt and twirl of the classic Ye Old English folk style.
Thanks for these!
Have a Good Day👋

"20 Years of Jethro Tull" came out in 1988, 38 years ago.
Tull / Anderson is one of my fav groups/artists of all time, one of the very few music concerts I've ever been too. Impressively creative and talented, and a hugely productive career. Tull posting are always welcome.
Good "less popular" songs: "4.W.D (Low Ratio)", and "I am your gun."

I'm a big Tull/Iain Anderson fan - I'm familiar with Part of the Machine. There is never too much Tull.

Interesting, I am a Tull/Ian Anderson fan and I know NONE of these. I can see why Motoreyes got left off The Broadsword and the Beast (one of my favorite Tull Albums). It bears too much resemblance to "Fallen on Hard Times" and/or "Watching me Watching you" and isn't quite as punchy as the other two, Not to say its bad although Tull does have some lesser albums ( e.g. A, Heavy Horses) it just does complement what was on the album and in 1982 we're still limited to the capabilities of a 33 1/3 rpm long play at like 48 minutes total time maximum including the run out (I'm looking at YOU beatles and White Album ...). Somedays I wonder if the 80 minute CD space as well as modern infinite online versions hasn't resulted in a lot of more mediocre songs on an album.

I've felt JT would fit comfortably at a Renn Fair. Definite late medieval vibe. Loved them since they came out.
