Trump Derangement Syndrome on display after the Las Vegas shootings

I was expecting the usual suspects to make hay out of the tragedy in Las Vegas, and I was right.

Earlier today, this was reproduced on Gab.  It's since been deleted from its original (Twitter) account, which I've checked, and confirmed that the poster is an inveterate anti-Trumper.

Then, a CBS vice-president put her foot right in it.

CBS has parted ways with one of the company’s top lawyers after she said she is “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican,” when discussing the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Las Vegas late Sunday night.

. . .

Hayley Geftman-Gold, the network's now-former vice president and senior counsel, took to Facebook after a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, killing at least 58 people and sending more than 520 others to hospitals.

“If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing,” Geftman-Gold wrote in a now-deleted message that was first reported and captured by The Daily Caller.

Geftman-Gold continued: “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].”

There's more at the link.

A tip o' the hat to CBS for immediately firing the lawyer . . . but her reactions are shared by far too many who should know better.  I'm sure my readers have found other examples.  If you do, please share them with us in Comments, on the principle that we should be able to identify the enemies of democracy and freedom.

It's all about survival, and those so vocal to with death of their perceived enemies become threats to survival. I doubt they realize this, and know of how precarious their lives can become.

May we never reach a point where violence rules ideology.

I think it's the Bible that says that hell is never full (I could be wrong), but surely it will be a bit crowded as time goes on.

Yes, yes, of course...since so many of us - regardless of our particular political affiliation - refuse to allow the rabidly-sob-sisterish loons to materially-diminish our rightful (and lawful) abilities to defend ourselves as needed, any further than they already have been, it therefore becomes entirely acceptable (and, really, only just, y'know!) for a bunch of (spitt-t-t!) Country Music fans to get shot to ribbons with blatantly-illegally-altered guns wielded by an apparent random-nutcase...

...'specially cause those fans are - y'know - undoubtedly all just a bunch 'o those Rethuglicans - right??...

(It's unfortunate, though doubtless true, that that lawyer will not remain unemployed for very long - nor will the firing affect the mind-set that was exhibited)

Peter, I'm very surprised; I thought you knew better.

Geftman-Gold was hired by the same people who fired her; she was hired because she fit in with CBS' upper management. Do you think for a moment that an outfit like CBS would hire a senior attorney to run the legal department who did not subscribe to the "CBS way of doing things"?

Geftman-Gold would not have said what she did on social media if she did not think it was acceptable within her peer group; she and CBS management are Fellow Travelers.

In this instance, CBS had to acknowledge its tone deafness and discharge her. You may rest assured no one in CBS management has changed his or her philosophy, attitude or beliefs; they still hate Trump, and they have always hated Us.

It will be interesting to see who next hires Geftman-Gold, because she will get a new job someplace, but the far-left people running CBS are all still on the job there.

Yes. She didnt get fired for saying what she said.(in fact there no doubt were a lot of heads nodding up and down along with her) She got fired for getting caught saying what she said.
