Sunday morning music

As regular visitors will know, I'm a fan of English country music, in both traditional and modern forms.  I recently came across the YouTube channel of Edward Brackstone Films, which seeks to preserve some of that tradition (among other things).  I was very pleased with two collections of folk music he's put together, and thought you might enjoy them too.  Click through to the videos' YouTube pages to see details of the music.

Easy listening, and historic too.  What's not to like?  You'll find more at the channel's Web page.

I listened to a couple of snippets and liked what I heard. I'll have to come back to them when I get a chance.

Like Jim said I'll come back and listen. You introduced a singer prior to Christmas last year, Dan Vasic, and I would not put metal music anywhere in my play list anytime. But his voice intrigued me. He has also done a ballad called Lock Lomand that is beautiful.

Not my kind of music, but it was good enough to listen to all the way through. Apparently it's now my kind of music.Thanks.

These songs remind me of the long hours I spent making up tunes for Brian Jacques's lyrics from his Redwall series when I was a kid. He clearly grew up with these sorts of ballads and songs; they've much the same cadences and story beats as the ones he wrote for his characters, though he was from Liverpool if I remember correctly.

Nice music. But the scores Howard Shore wrote and produced for the Tolkien movies are still
outstanding works.
