Miguel Gonzales has closed down his Gun Free Zone blog and moved to Substack. He recently put up a video clip titled "Raising cattle is so relaxing...". Warning: IT IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR CHILDREN! If profanity upsets you, do not watch it!
The clip is rude, crude and profane, but military veterans will recognize the attitude of the speaker, and probably roar with laughter, just as I did. Even though this is a family-friendly blog, I simply can't resist pointing you in that direction. Enjoy!

Substack = where someone wants me to pay to hear their opinion. Where their 2¢ worth isn't worth 2 cents.
I understand the desire to monetize everything, but I'm not playing that game.
Peter, I appreciate you keeping your blog on a site that doesn't charge your readers to visit.
@SciFiJim: Most Substacks will let you read without paying anything, Miggy's among them. Just close the "Subscribe" invitation box, and you'll go through to the article. Only a few are subscriber-only.
I am a subscriber and almost fell out of the chair by the end. Hilarious doesn't begin to describe it.
Home I rented outside of Austin had 100 acres of cattle. It's amazing that as stupid as they are they seem to be able to find the one spot to get through and be on my patio when I would come home. He sounds kinda like I did trying to herd them back where they belonged.
Black cows... make two holes in the fence. One to get out and another to get back in.
My grandfather had a 2,000 lb cow on his farm in north Texas. She was bigger than the bull. If you pissed her off (my existence seemed to piss her off as I moved the cows from the back pasture to the front pasture), she would come over and stand on your foot and look you in the face. I would be beating her on the head and face and she would just stand there until she got tired of pissing me off.
Never have much trouble with the idiot cows it's the damn idiot magic mushroom hunters that I have trouble with. Every time it rains you can bet they'll be trespassing. But it's fun chasing them off.
This MORNING!
Why didn't I see a single blade of grass?
In USAF Basic Training, our first TI was TSGT Klein, who was buying land somewhere west of San Antonio for just this very purpose after he retired from the Air Force. This could have been him. :-)
He sounds like an IT Professional trying to fit 'upwardly compatible' parts to server hardware. Don't ask how I know.
That sure sounded like Sgt R. Lee Ermey
