As most readers know by now, Saturday, June 14th is being called "No Kings" day, with pro-illegal-immigrant, pro-socialist, pro-progressive left-wing demonstrations being organized across the country.
Around here, our cops aren't worrying too much about it. Their biggest problem, if such demonstrations arise (I doubt they will), is going to be to stop enthusiastic locals dealing with the problem before the police can arrive to protect the demonstrators. This part of Texas ain't friendly to rioters.
I think the best law enforcement approach was exemplified by Sheriff Wayne Ivey of Brevard County, Florida, yesterday. Here's the centerpiece of his address, set up to start and end at the right points.
Nicely put, Sheriff!

You tell 'em, fatso!
Yes indeed.
He's my sheriff! He's also big on cracking down on animal abusers.
I love a plain speaker!
It still amazes me that there are so many differences between folks who attended the same school/internship/police-academy/golf-swing-school/supreme-court-training-center, and come away with such disparate methods/beliefs.
Compare this sheriff to those in California and how they (intend to) treat law-breakers. Listen to Ketanji-Brown-Jackson and her non-answer to "what is a woman". How many lectures did certain people miss? Is it self-sufficiency, or self-deficiency, that is the better choice in life?
And we (humans) still keep denying that free-market capitalism has raised more folks out of poverty than the preaching that all of our churches have done through the years/centuries/millennia.
Florida has mostly good sheriffs. Back when BLM was getting started with their Summer of Peaceful but Fiery Protests, a march was held in Jacksonville. The march was infiltrated by undercover law enforcement, who were quietly but efficiently pulling probably troublemakers out of the march and away from the area. By nightfall, when other cities were going up in flames, the protest in Jax had petered out.
I do so love the sound of liberal heads exploding in the morning
A Meme I've seen. Standard picture of Trump with the caption "they're after you. I'm just in the way." We all have seen variant.
But this one is amended "Democrats need to heed this well."
"No Kings for Us day"
Nope, we'd rather have commissioners, boards of directors, and agency / department heads.
I'm going to a book event in Boerne, Texas tomorrow - the event is sponsored by a book store on the main street. It's in conjunction with the regular monthly farmers market on the main square ... and apparently the No Kings goonies have scheduled an anti-ICE protest for in front of Town Hall ... a little way from where the market and the bookstore are situated. Believe me, I will have my head on a swivel. Although Texas outside of the big cities are remarkably unsympathetic to antics like this, so I am not going to bail out on the event.
Probably won't be many issues in North Texas unless the block bloc shows up or Antifa and a few of their friends cosplay as "MAGA" and attack the protests.
That Man does not engage in ambiguity. Curiously refreshing.
Good for him!
Scroll Reddit mostly for the cat pictures but this has shown up often in the last few days, as reddit is very liberal they are having a fit saying he was threatening people but if anyone points out he is just stating facts you will get down voted into oblivion. The liberals on reddit are so inclusive and accepting it's refreshing. /s
