US Customs and Border Patrol has been Tweeting its top 20 contraband finds at US border crossings and elsewhere. One in particular tickled my fancy (you should pardon the expression). They found a ton of 'carrots':
that were actually a carrot-colored plastic wrapping filled with marijuana.
Ingenious! For once, those carrots really were weed(s) . . .

IF they had crossed in California, would CBP have let them through?
They wouldn't have been let through, even in California. Import and customs are federal, not state.
After the pot gets removed, there might be a, uh... secondary market... for them in certain California communities....
