Most readers are doubtless aware that author J. K. Rowling has made enemies among the "woke" by refusing to back down on the gender identity question. (Good for her, say I!) She's just delivered the ultimate verbal slap in the face to one of her attackers. Clickit to biggit.

When your books spawned movies that spawned theme parks, you've got F-you money.
She doesn't quite have "Establish a moon colony" money, but I wouldn't count her out.

Is the sort of thing someone says when they really know that it's just a handful of whackjobs and most of the public is ignoring them. And they really hate that. Most of the time they are doing this in the first place is they want to be noticed, get some publicity, get their stupid faces in front of a tv camera ... so they can pretend their useless drab little lives actual represent something worthwhile.
Arguing with someone whose fortune has been made with words..... should be done carefully.

Losing THAT audience counts as a plus. Rather like losing a bleeding ulcer.
None of my money went to her residuals. I wasn't interested in her books or her movie adaptations, wife was, so I had to suffer in silence listening in the other room as she watched them. At least when she read the books, she was quiet. I am pleased that she poked a stick in the eyes of those woke and sniveling leftest pervs.
