"I think I have a hummingbird problem"
That's what the person who put up this video said about it. After viewing it, what can one do but agree with her? I've never seen hummingbirds feeding out of someone's hand like that before.
I'm sure they're grateful for the food, anyway . . .
We haven't had our usual hummingbird population this year. Don't know why, but it has been cooler than previous years. I miss the little buggers.
Videos such as this one are great because they remind me of where I grew up, and the huge numbers of hummingbirds I used to see. We don't get anything like that out here in CO.
A family friend who lived on the edge of the Atchafalaya swamp basin used to go through 10 pounds of sugar a day in his hummingbird feeders. I once counted 70 hummingbirds in sight. Beautiful to watch!

I love to see hummingbirds.
My son has abundant hummingbird visitors, and has a video of his rescuing a hummingbird:

He has some great close-up shots in that video. Please thank him for me.
My wife recently shared this video with me, of a young man's rescued hummingbird -- who, after recovery, opted to stick around. :)
Nice!!!
