#1 I've never been asked. Probably because they don't want to get me started.

All my books about space say that Pluto is a planet & I won't buy any books that say otherwise, just like the bird id books that change the names because of racism bs, I won't buy another.

Just for my morbid curiosity, which birds are racist?

Usually a bunch of Dad Jokes. This week I laughed out loud at #2 and the last. Downloaded #8. Good stuff. Thanks.

@Birdchaser - I am exactly the same. I simply cannot believe how widespread this stupid obsession about bird "common-names" has become, and I utterly refuse to play their little communist game. Superb blue wren is a Superb blue wren, NOT a "fairy-wren".

"We" are now changing our Australian place names to ridiculous "aboriginal" names to "pay respect, blah blah, blah" to aboriginal this that and something else. Funny that the aboriginal people had no written language and about twenty tribes over the same region, each with different oral histories and languages and no one accepted language.

No-one asked Australians about this renaming, "they" just started doing it and nobody pushed back so they kept going further and further. In this case, "they" is "our" taxpayer funded ABC.

The interesting thing is we have an near total dominance of far-left wing governments at state/territory and federal level, except for Tasmania.
