I think it's time for all of us who actually take the Constitution seriously, and value our Republic, and want to see her prosper, to take a stand against the torrent of lies, partisan propaganda and downright dishonesty being shoved down our throats by the establishment. I don't care whether or not you support Donald Trump as a candidate; but the depths to which his opponents are going to discredit and smear him are so outrageous that anyone who has any respect for the truth simply MUST take a stand against them. There's no honorable alternative. You don't have to vote for him, but you DO have to call "Foul!" when you see it - and right now, that's all the eye can see for bloody miles.
First, this telling graphic that's doing the rounds on the Internet.
Sounds legit, indeed! If the current propaganda campaign against Trump were any more orchestrated, it'd have to be performed for live TV in the Metropolitan Opera House! It's so blatantly organized, so clearly scripted, that no-one with half a working brain cell can possibly be deceived by it. Trouble is, there are lots of low-information voters out there with less than half a working brain cell . . .
Next, this useful observation from T. L. Davis.
Perhaps one needed to be alive and cognizant of the political world in the 1990's in order to understand the absolute ridiculousness of the media's proclaimed prudishness when it comes to Trump's off-color remarks. They had no such blushing revulsion when they discussed presidential semen on a blue dress. Back then, it was "just sex" as if it was common for men in power to entice, seduce and engage in extra-marital sex with 20-year-old interns.
Even when Bill Clinton lied before a federal grand jury denying that sex took place between himself and Monica Lewinsky, the prudes in the media championed his excuse that everyone lies about sex. That it was common for men in power (though don't be a Republican and try it) to engage in sex and then lie about it to their wives and even the public when caught ... But, this is the media today, openly advocating for one candidate for the presidency. Willing members of the campaign, rather than objective observers...

Finally, one of the finest rants it's ever been my pleasure to read on the Internet. It's frequently profane, but it's right on target, IMHO.
Trump ... threw down the gauntlet, stepped up to the plate, and has been a thorn in the side to every corrupt plutocrat, every sniveling millennial ****weasel, every social justice sissy, every man-spreading offense-taking-horn-rimmed-glasses-wearing-soon-to-be-spinster-vegan-cat-lady, every TelePrompTer-regurgitating ****-squeezer working for state-run media, every deadbeat-handout-sucking-grifter, every tip-toeing-closeted-pedophile-politician, every crony-corporatist-tax-payer-subsidized-offshoring-swindler, every lowlife-border-serpent coming here to mooch, every Stars-and-Stripes-***wiping-Old-Glory-burning-Communist-****smoker; in short, he is an affront to the sensibilities of the worst in America.
He’s the radical Left’s Antichrist; he is everything they hate about America.
And he is the last ticket out of this mess.
He’s the last chance to dance, boys and girls.
. . .
He’s endured >12 Calendar months of every vile adjective these ****-drapers can throw at him, up to, and including, the cultural marxists’ most powerful weapon in their arsenal, “racist.”
He’s endured the entire propagandistic might of the media bull**** machine, endlessly.
He’s still there.
The best they can come up with is the man says nasty things? Mean things?
Grow the **** up, you g*ddamned cowards.
The Anti-Free-Market Corporatists, and the Political Establishment have sold your ****ing country down the river, and you’re gonna get your **** in a knot over a guy who said he wants [to] sink his ********* into a hot babe?
If that’s where your priorities are, you deserve every g*ddamned ounce of what’s coming.
Ultimately this isn’t about Trump.
It’s never been about Trump.
Trump is merely the silver bullet into the heart of the sellout shitweasels.
Trump’s support is a direct result of the seething, white-hot rage in the American spirit.
He’s the final gasp of a dying body politic of red-blooded Americans, manifested in flesh.
He is a political weapon thrust into the side of Leviathan, as a last-ditch Hail Mary effort to expunge the self-anointed “know-betters” before they take the whole house down in a blazing cacophony of nuclear fire-and-brimstone.
. . .
Whether he wins the election, loses the election, has the votes rigged against him, or the Repugnant party disowns him; it’s irrelevant – we’ve got a lot of work to do, and the future of American sovereignty, not-beholden to back-room deals conjured up by Corruptocratican globalist parasites, literally depends on anyone who doesn’t want to see their grandkids living in a third-world hellhole, while perennial near-felons suck caviar and spit in the face of the Rule of Law.
Again, more at the link. Please excuse the author's profanity, and go read the whole thing. I endorse what he has to say.
This isn't about Trump. It's about honor, and honesty, and truth. Right now, the onslaught against Mr. Trump is the antithesis of those values. Whether or not you plan to vote for him, I ask you to take a stand and call these lies, and the liars propagating them, what they are. Make it clear that you won't be led by the nose, and won't be panicked into stampeding into the establishment camp. Honesty isn't just the best policy. Without it, our Republic cannot stand.
The establishment is seeking to tighten its stranglehold on American politics. If this propaganda onslaught succeeds in its objective, Hillary Clinton and her backers and her minions will turn that stranglehold into a death grip that our Republic is unlikely to survive.
It's not about Trump. It's about the Constitution and the American Republic . . . "if we can keep it", as Benjamin Franklin warned us more than two centuries ago. Right now, we're perilously close to losing it.

Mike hit the nail on the head. Win or lose, the Establishment can't roll the clock back to pre-Trump.
And the Establishment needs to truly, deeply, viscerally understand the following:

Fari-to-middlin' rant. Wish he'd let us know what he really thinks :-)
Win, lose, or draw, we are on the cusp of a major inflection point in American history. Revel in it, and rebel.
The very best come-back to all of this ridiculous s**t-storm being rained down upon the Trump candidacy (99 and 44/100ths percent of which is pure, unadulterated bulls**t - and the remainder is not even the slightest whisper of what has been elected and re-elected to POTUS as Democraps over the past quarter-century and more)is: During all the years when he was alleged committing these "offenses against wimmins/Nature", Trump was - if any political affiliation whatsoever - apparently a Democrat...which would appear to make him no worse (if not many-times better) than Slick Willie Clintoon, who - while quite clearly revealed as a near-lifelong serial physical assaulter/rapist of damnear anything female that crossed near his path - was elected, re-elected POTUS and devoutly, devotedly defended by (allegedly-)Legal Wife/Turned Current Democrap POTUS Candidate/Crooked, Public Liar Whilst In High Public Office and a host of said Democrap-affiliated electorate plus no small number of RINOs and similar political turncoats and cutpurses.
Also - keep in mind that thingy about who gets to pick the next one or two or more Supreme Court Justices, and how that's extremely likely to play out for a very long time to come...
If you value this much-battered Republic's likely future at all - you'd best do all you can, no matter how distasteful you may find Trump to be on a personal level, to see that he wins in November, big an' bold...time's runnin' out, for all of us!
Word.
Dislike Trump, or dislike him intensely, he is the only escape route available.
Rand Simberg made a rare internet appearance with an article on Ricochet
(https://ricochet.com/380096/restore-article-ii-elect-trump/) in which he said this:
She will have an opportunity to nominate at least one candidate to the Supreme Court (and if she wins, it is likely that Ruth Bader Ginsburg and perhaps others will finally retire, providing at least one other one). Her nominee(s) will share her limitless-government views, and could set us on a path by which the only way to preserve the Republic will be via the Second Amendment that she would eliminate with the stroke of a pen (or a court ruling) if she could.
It's not just her Supreme Court appointees that will be a problem - Hillary Clinton is stunningly incompetent and so thoroughly corrupt as to require a new definition of the word. The only people she knows and associates with are just as incompetent and corrupt as she is, and they are who will populate her administration.
I will predict that, should Hillary Clinton ascend to the U.S. Presidency, before the end of her term she and Bill will have to abscond at midnight with their suitases of cash to a country without extradition while gunfire echoes in the capital.
As Simberg points out, Trump will constantly have the threat of an Article II impeachment hanging over his head.
Gunfire in the streets and blood in the gutters, or the potential exercise of Congressional procedures specified in the Constitution. Pick one.
the government is so corrupt that it is a shell.
how one man can hold it together while, we hope, new content is built within the shell, i don't know.
but it is the only chance.
there are many here [ohio] to whom i have talked who are voting hillary.
these are intelligent people but they watch the 'news' and they actually believe it!
some of this is due to coming home after a hard day, then meeting other obligations, and then collapsing in front of television before bed.
i suppose it is brain tiredness?
the most important thing domestically about this election is the supreme court nominations.
God, help us!
OH, we are down with that. We have been tracking the cock suckers and as we move closer to them they will be dealt with. And we see no reason what so ever to spare their children.
"It's about honor, and honesty, and truth."
...three words I doubt Mr. Trump would recognize if he saw them in the dictionary (Ms. Clinton would recognize them, of course, as foreign invaders and--for once--deploy troops against them).
There is an alternative: Gary Johnson.
However you vote, you have to carry the burden of saying "yes, I supported that person" for the next four years. You're a man of great conscience; do you really want to spend the next four years admitting that you lent Trump your moral imperative?
@dave: Gary Johnson carries his own baggage - a great deal of it. I'm by no means convinced he'd be a good President. Nevertheless, I agree he'd probably be a better one than either Trump or Clinton. If he had a snowball's chance in hell of winning, I'd support him . . . but you and I both know he doesn't. That means a vote for him is not a vote against either Clinton or Trump. It's massaging one's own ego, so one can say "I didn't vote for the bad guy/gal".
This election, the stakes are too high for ego-massaging. We have two realistic options. One is disastrous, the other is distasteful. I think it's irresponsible not to vote for the lesser of two evils.
@Deborah Harvey,
Don't know where in Ohio you are-I'm about halfway between Akron and Cleveland, and there's very few people that I've talked to who are voting for Hildebeast.
Got a couple nieces in college at Kent State-the whole area is one giant Hillary sign.
Out in the countryside, away from the big cities, all I see are Trump signs, very, very few
signs supporting the Hildebeast.
I've traveled around the state quite a bit over the past couple weeks, I-77 to
Coshocton, out I-90 to Ashtabula county, also been to Ashland,Richland,Medina,Wayne,Morrow,Crawford,Marion, and Huron counties-plus some other mostly rural areas.
Went through Columbus-infested with Hillary signs.People in the restaraunts we ate at-one on the way down another on our way back home,
were all putting Trump down, beliving all the recent sexual harassment claims etc.
Seems like all the college towns are for the Hildebeast-as ecxpected-and in the wealthy 'burbs, there were plenty of Hillary signs.Once you get in the truly wealthy areas-we saw political signs at all.
Peter,
T L Davis makes one mistake. He refers to the Blue Dress incidents as "sex". According to my very liberal sister back then, that didn't constitute sex at all.
I remember being shocked at her statements and explanations regarding that time, and left wondering what world she had been raised in.
She bought into all the liberal garbage that was taught both in and out of school, it turns out.
We are just a few years younger than the Clintons, and she loved them. And Obama. She even went to that clown's inauguration.
Everyone that I hate, hates him - that hasn't changed I'm really considering using Democrat techniques to vote for the man in all of the close states around me. The democrats scour obit columns for new Democrat voters, why should they be the only ones doing that?
