The idle musings of a former military man, former computer geek, medically retired pastor and now full-time writer. Contents guaranteed to offend the politically correct and anal-retentive from time to time. My approach to life is that it should be taken with a large helping of laughter, and sufficient firepower to keep it tamed!
To the question "Should mentally ill people be teaching at our universities," my answer is yes and no. I just reviewed MarkVonnegut's second book. "Just like someone without mental illness, but more so" and my perspective is skewed because of that.
Oh, I can top this one by a mile. My wife grew up very near Millikan Univesrity in IL. One of the professors there, James St. James, was revealed in 2013 to have murdered his family when he was a teenager. He was sent to a mental institution, and was released six years later. He changed his name, got degrees and eventually be came a (if I remember correctly) head of the philosopy department.
Well, the news eventually came out about his past, and he was proptly fired for being an insane murderer who hid this fact when applying for the job.
Ha! Just kidding! He's still there teaching!!!! They were horrified with the thought of terminating the employment of a crazy, lying murderer!

I think it closer to the recruited cast and directors of Spring Time For Hitler, in Germany.
But with real Nazis rather than actors this time.
what does he mean "beginning". They've looked that way for the last 2 decades.
