The FBI can no longer be trusted in any way, shape or form

It pains me to say that.  I've undergone the background check for Federal law enforcement service as a prison chaplain, and sworn the oath.  I meant every word of that oath, and still regard it as binding on my conscience.  After all, it has no expiration date.  Tragically, it's become blindingly obvious that the FBI's upper echelons - and many of its lower-level staff as well - no longer hold their oath of office in any regard at all:  or, if they do, they arrogate to themselves the right to decide what the constitution and laws of the United States mean, not what they plainly say or what juridical precedent has determined them to mean.

The latest evidence of this comes in the persecution of Project Veritas.

Project Veritas uses hidden camera techniques to expose corruption, dishonesty, anarchy, and totalitarian impulses in American institutions.  Given the times in which we live, that means Project Veritas is usually exposing leftists and their organizations.  It's almost certainly not a coincidence, then, that the FBI engaged in a series of early-morning raids against Project Veritas employees and its founder, James O'Keefe, ostensibly because, a year ago, they possessed, but refused to use (and gave to law enforcement), a diary that we now know belonged to Joe Biden's pathetic, drug-addicted daughter, Ashley.

It's even less of a coincidence that the New York Times immediately knew about the raids and later published Project Veritas's confidential correspondence with its attorneys.  What we're witnessing is a political hit job that would be completely at home in any penny-ante, third-world, tin pot tyranny — in other words, welcome to Biden's America.

. . .

Think about that: we're talking about a common theft, something that belongs under the jurisdiction of the local cops, but the DOJ and FBI come together to engage in aggressive raids on a journalism outfit that has a habit of exposing problems in the administration's allies.

As O'Keefe explains in the video above, the FBI also told Project Veritas to stay silent about what happened to it, yet, within an hour of one of the raids, The New York Times was seeking comments from the reporter who was raided.  Even more shockingly, the FBI then raided James O'Keefe's home and seized his papers and his phones.

And then, once again, in an amazing coincidence, the New York Times published an article attacking Project Veritas — and supported the article with documents that matched those seized from O'Keefe during the FBI raids.  Did the FBI give those documents to the Times?  Who knows?  I certainly don't, but, as I said, it's an amazing coincidence.  Others are pretty sure about what really happened:

. . .

To summarize, Project Veritas has embarrassed the Democrats in the past and is obviously planning to do so in the future.  It's also suing The New York Times.  A year ago, it refused to touch a diary that a drug addict abandoned in a rehab clinic.  The drug addict just happens to be the daughter of the man occupying the Oval Office.  So now the DOJ authorizes the FBI to raid Project Veritas, and, oh, so coincidentally, The New York Times gets tipped off about the raids and suddenly comes into possession of documents of the same type seized in the raids.

This whole thing stinks to high heaven.

There's more at the link.

Sundance points out that this is merely the latest "brick in the wall" in a long line of incidents that demonstrate the FBI's subservience to what he calls the "Fourth Branch of United States Government", the intelligence services, who appear to have decided that they can ride roughshod over any agency or individual they please in their pursuit of the Deep State's agenda.  He notes:

More people are awakening to the uncomfortable reality that the FBI is a domestic enforcement mechanism for the Fourth Branch of Government.  The most recent awakening is being driven by the brazen FBI raid on Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe with the intent to leak the information to their allies at the New York Times.

Make no mistake, this is one long continuum of FBI activity that is only growing increasingly more obvious as they consider themselves unaccountable to anyone except their own ideological interests.   Who is the check in the U.S. justice system to provide oversight over the FBI?  The uncomfortable answer is no one.

Remember, the oft reported relationships surrounding the divisions within the Fourth Branch:  ♦The CIA uses The Washington Post. ♦The State Dept uses CNN, and ♦the FBI uses The New York Times.

James O’Keefe is currently in a lawsuit against The New York Times.  The FBI raids the home of O’Keefe and then passes along the confidential communication between Project Veritas and their legal team to the New York Times.

. . .

What the Federal Security Service (FSB) is to the internal security of the Russian state; so too is the FBI in performing the same function for the U.S. federal government.

The FBI is a U.S. version of the Russian “State Police”; and the FBI is deployed -almost exclusively - to attack domestic enemies of those who control government; while they protect the interests of the U.S. Fourth Branch of Government.  That is the clear and accurate domestic prism to contextualize their perceived mission: “domestic violent extremists pose the greatest threat” to their objective.

Put another way, “We The People”, who fight against government abuse and usurpation, are the FBI’s actual and literal enemy.

Let me be very clear with another brutally obvious example.  Antifa could not exist as an organization; capable to organize and carry out violent attacks against their targets; without the full support of the FBI.   If the FBI wanted to arrest members of Antifa, who are actually conducting violence, they could do it easily – with little effort.

It is the absence of any action by the FBI toward Antifa, that tells us the FBI is enabling that violent extremist behavior to continue.  Once you accept that transparent point of truth; then, you realize the FBI definition of domestic violent extremism is something else entirely.

The FBI is not a law enforcement or investigative division of the U.S. Department of Justice.  The FBI is a political weapon of a larger institution that is now focused almost entirely toward  supporting a radical communist agenda to destroy civil society in the United States.

Again, more at the link, including example after example of how the FBI has turned a blind eye to any extremism by any movement except those of which the "Deep State" disapproves.

It's impossible to read Sundance's catalog of FBI failures to act without realizing that they can't possibly be coincidental.  As Ian Fleming said:  "Once is happenstance;  twice is coincidence;  three times is enemy action."  The FBI, by its own repeated actions (or lack thereof), has painted itself in the colors of an enemy of the United States constitution and the freedom of its people.  If it's flying that flag, we should believe it.  Nobody could be so utterly stupid and asinine as to fly it unless they meant it.

I'm grateful to the US Marshals Service for helping to sort out the treatment of the January 6th detainees in their Washington, D.C. prison.  I worked with the Marshals on several occasions, and I've met a number of them socially.  They strike me as a very professional organization, and I've seen no evidence to suggest that they've become over-politicized.  However, with their honorable exception, I wouldn't trust any Federal law enforcement agency today.  The risk that they would be taking sides, and noting anything we say, and everything they observe about us, to be used against us for political or ideological reasons, is simply too great.

"We're from the FBI.  We'd like to ask you a few questions about -"

"No."

"But -"

"What part of NO didn't you understand?"

Hey Peter;

That is why I will have my lawyer with me before I ever have to talk to any federal government agent, they can lie and it is acceptable behavior for them and ruin my life. I flat out don't trust the federal side of the house, and the Jury is out on the state side.

I worked with (paired with) FBI in the somewhat distant past now. My experience with them was mixed but after five years I came away with an understanding of the place and would suggest that you never trust them. Today in their role as America's secret police - siding with communists and globalists, that impression is only magnified.

The FBI are Stassi. Nothing more nor less.

Those in charge should be prosecuted and imprisoned, and anyone lesser not criminally culpable should be fired, and barred from any federal employment or compensation for life, for cause, under the RICO statutes, and their names and pictures posted publicly as enemies of the republic.

That's the polite, conservative reaction.

What they're liable to get comes one rope and one pock-marked brick wall at a time, but every single last one of them has it coming, either for culpability, or complicity in it, and every day increases the odds that's exactly what's going to happen.

If they all just went home and ate their guns tomorrow, the republic would be unquestionably better off, for decades, than with any lesser outcome.

I keep saying this, how is this different than the FBI has ever been? The TV show wasn't real. I was in the Movement in the 60s and we had morons from the FBI always trying to provoke us into something stupid. They were always pushing for someone else to do something really radical. There were a number of us that believed that the Weather Underground was really an FBI front.
From the 30s to the 50s J Edgar saw a communist under every bush, but couldn't touch organized crime. And just how many real commies did they ever catch?

Looks like FBI is morphing into Gestapo...

I came to this same realization back in the Trump administration when Comey, Page, Strzuk, Mueller, and the agency was so incredibly biased and politicized. If the Durham investigations bring any of these traitors to justice, I will be amazed.

Back when resources to do forensic investigations were rare and expensive, the FBI might have had a reason to exist, but that's not the case any more. And it has been caught red-handed a number of times fabricating incriminating evidence - one notorious set of incidents is this: "The Justice Department and FBI have formally acknowledged that nearly every examiner in an elite FBI forensic unit gave flawed testimony in almost all trials in which they offered evidence against criminal defendants over more than a two-decade period before 2000.

Of 28 examiners with the FBI Laboratory’s microscopic hair comparison unit, 26 overstated forensic matches in ways that favored prosecutors in more than 95 percent of the 268 trials reviewed so far, according to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and the Innocence Project, which are assisting the government with the country’s largest post-conviction review of questioned forensic evidence.

The cases include those of 32 defendants sentenced to death. Of those, 14 have been executed or died in prison, the groups said under an agreement with the government to release results after the review of the first 200 convictions." https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/crime/fbi-overstated-forensic-hair-matches-in-nearly-all-criminal-trials-for-decades/2015/04/18/39c8d8c6-e515-11e4-b510-962fcfabc310_story.html

That alone is sufficient reason to wipe the FBI out of existence.

I'm surprised that PV stored materials of importance in their own homes. People who want raids to find nothing have "agreements" with nearby owners or tenants to store it there where warrants are unlikely to find it...
Or they need to be based in a better area where the FBI will be more circumspect than in DC where the local apparatus supports them.

To be expected. Praetorians aren't there to serve the interests of the plebeians.

I’ve long been surprised that it’s a crime, in itself, to lie to the FBI. More shocked that it is such in a supposedly free country like the USA.

An individual, innocent of any crime suddenly commits one if they, out of fear or misunderstanding, lie to an FBI agent.

That is not the hallmark of a free nation. It is the job of law enforcement to prove a crime, not to force an individual to admit to one or, conversely, to commit one by not admitting to it. It flies in the face of the 5th Amendment. There is no such crime on the books in Canada, nor anywhere else I’m aware of, save for banana republics.
