Sunday morning music

Let's have a bit of a change of pace.

The blog IOTWReport occasionally posts music excerpts amid its many daily snippets.  Occasionally they pique my interest;  and over the past month or so, three stood out as interesting enough for me to bookmark them.  I thought my readers might enjoy their quirkiness as well.  Kudos to the person/team at IOTWReport for putting them up in the first place.

First, from August 20, here's Tommy Emmanuel's fast-paced rendition of "Classical Gas".

Next, from September 12, here's Brazilian guitarist Lucas Imbiriba with his acoustic rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Finally, from September 14, here's British bassist Charles Berthoud on a fretless bass guitar with a short excerpt from Led Zeppelin's classic "Stairway to Heaven".

Thanks, IOTWReport, for keeping us interested with your music selections.

Peter

For an interesting take on "Bohemian Rhapsody," try Jamie Dupree's version done on the harp-guitar. Seriously, harp meets guitar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=tiQTaG9sv28&feature=emb_logo

Tommy was fast, but Glen was melodic, and better.

Lots of talent, highly technical, but hard to listen to.

People tend to underestimate Glen Campbell as a guitar player because of his success as a singer / entertainer.

Then you listen to a clip like this, and realize just how good he was.
