More on buying the election

Tucker Carlson seems to agree with my earlier article.

I think this is a very serious issue, and one all of us need to think about.  Are we willing to allow American politics to be decided by the highest bidder?  And, if not, what are we going to do about it?

We will shun them. yes, shun them.

If he has the money to buy the ads, no law against it. We are living in interesting times...

Politicians have always tried to buy elections. They normally do it by promising money to their supporters. It doesn't always work: just look at Corbyn last year.

Bloomberg can buy all the advertising he wants but he still has to persuade people to actually vote for him. And that's their choice, not his. If people like his policies then they may vote for him; if they don't - or like someone else's policies better - they won't, regardless of the money he spends.
