Am I the only one that hasn't forgotten that Iran made a formal declaration of war against the US and Israel in 1979?
They have never rescinded that declaration and have carried out numerous acts of war against us in the years since.
Like a Vivek commercial, don't get me wrong he says the right stuff consistently, perhaps a little too consistently. I'll continue to watch.
My son spent almost two years in Iraq with the USA Marine Corps in 2006 and 2008. He came back the first time with a concussion and PTSD from a Iraqi soldier killing his buddy in camp. My son shot the Iraqi soldier ten times with a pistol and he did not go down. Two other Marines ran up with their M-16s and took the Iraqi soldier down. The second trip was much better as the Marines had calmed things down but still very rough.
My son later refused to volunteer for a free all expense paid three month trip to Afghanistan for several Marine combat vets to take the place of dead and injured Marines from a horrible ambush that the Marines kept quiet. He later refused to re-up even with an $85,000 reenlistment bonus and had to tell that to a Marine Corps general to his face. He still has PTSD and will for the rest of his life.
I don't want any more USA sons to go back to the Middle East. It has been brother against brother there for 3,500 years. It will never stop, God told us this. Ishmael's descendants are the children of God, just like us, but they have chosen the false religion of Islam to follow. We cannot fix this.
