The inimitable Neil Oliver discusses the Middle East crisis with retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor, joined by others in a panel discussion who contribute their thoughts. It's a free-ranging and controversial discussion that covers ground most of the mainstream media in the USA are ignoring. Indispensable and essential viewing, IMHO.
I think we're standing on very dangerous ground indeed right now. If the Middle East conflict escalates into a regional war, it can have massive consequences for the world's energy supply; for geopolitical relationships across Europe and Asia; and possibly even a third World War, if things go far enough, because if Iran and Russia become embroiled, China can't (it dare not) be far behind.
God have mercy on us all.

Depopulation, reduce carbon, create a fully dependent serf class (you'll own Nothing and Be Happy).
Sounds like the World Economic Forum's ANNOUNCED Goals are progressing well, just stir in a bit of war and off we go.
In 2003 George Bush believed he'd be remembered as a coward in 20 years if he didn't invade Iraq. Now in 2023, 20 years later, noone thinks of him as a coward, everyone thinks him an idiot for starting the war instead.
I have a different take on the situation than the Scot and LTC McGregor do. I have no problem with them stating their case, but to have Israel somehow embrace Hamas and return to a pre-attack posture makes no sense at all. They need to dismantle Hamas so that they won't ever be able to wage war from Gaza again.
Sorry, just how I feel.
@LL: I don't disagree. Certainly, Hamas must be neutralized, one way or another - and permanently. Unfortunately, doing so might mean a much wider war will result. The question is, how to neutralize Hamas without that complication? It may not be possible. If that's the case, is it worthwhile to risk that wider war now, when the West as a whole (and the USA in particular) is not ready for it? I don't have an answer to that. I suspect time will provide its own.
Arab Oil Embargo 2.0. If, there are any non-radioactive oilfields left to embargo.

The West and the USA will never be ready for another world war. Our leadership (the two halves of the War Party, the Ds and Rs) is incompetent. I do not see getting competent leadership in the USA in my remaining lifetime.
The first sign of competent leadership in the USA would be getting rid of all the muslims that have come to the USA on false pretenses. As Ann Coulter says, we need to cancel all their green cards and eject them.

The criminals running the USA want war. It will deflect attention away from the crimes and allow them to get richer. They believe they can have a war and keep it from escalating to full scale nuclear war. They are fools. Russia and China are also on board with war. They believe they can now win a war against a weak US military. The globalists who pull strings in all three countries want war to depopulate the planet.
All of the above are greedy power hungry criminals who will likely turn the planet into a massive graveyard. One from which our species may not recover. We are a clever species.
But NOT an intelligent one.
It's funny, lynn. I used to feel that way too. I supported the whole Dubya misadventures in Astan and Iraq and was fully on board w the faux war on terror blah blah. But now? It seems a false flag or psy op. So we will deport the part of the population that is vocally standing up against the queering and sexualization of schoolchildren? While the native born sit back and let it happen? Something not right there. The dc people want us divided up and hating each other because they fear unity more than anything.
A pawn.
