Update

The Good: Being a fairly wise and level-headed man, Peter called the ambulance as soon as first symptoms were obvious. Thus, they caught it just on the cusp of being full-blown heart attck, and stuffed him full of blood thinners and other good things. So, no heart damage - no necrosis!

The bad: Triple bypass surgery tomorrow.

The ugly: he's still punning. You can't keep a good man down!

Hang tough, Peter. We're not through with you yet.

Keep your chin up, my friend.

If you weren't so masterful with the language or weren't so appreciative of silly wordplay, I'd never mention this, but word verification for this entry is an adjective to describe you:

--it's "unpasin," I kid you not.

Brother Peter, hope you're better soon. The world needs more folks like you, so stick around a bit longer, please!

God bless, and prayers sent.

Get well soon! We'll keep the light on while you are gone, and we'll pour you a tall cold one when you get back.

Keeping you in my prayers...

THAT is by far the best news I've had this evening.

Prayers for the skill and ability of the medical personnel operating tomorrow. Prayers for a full and complete recovery.

Prayers of thanksgiving for all Peter has shared with me. I think I was starting to take his excellent content (and self) for granted.

Quick recovery, Peter.

Wishing/hoping/asking God's blessing also on the surgeon's hands.

Excellent news! I'm sure Inyati will be glad to see you again eventually, just, perhaps, not yet!

Thoughts and prayers sent, and will continue until Peter is back raising hate and discontent with us :-)

Good luck and hopes for a quick recovery.

Prayers sent from San Francisco, Peter. Like many others, I've been there and know a bit of how it feels.

Hope to hear good things soon,

Jeff

You are present in my thoughts this morning, Peter.

Peter - -

Hope this finds you recovering nicely from the bypass procedure. H. and I send all best thoughts and prayers for your speedy bounce-back.

Ten years ago, late on a Saturday night, I had a "bad case of heartburn" and "feeling really tired." Because I didn't detect some of the other classic symptoms, I put off seeing my doctor until Monday morning. The delay cost me a lot of dead cardiac tissue, and I make do with far less than normal heart function.

I'm just glad you were brighter than I was.

PS - - Thanks to Miss D for spreading the word.

And remember to mind the Doc on the recovery side. Especially the "one aspirin a day" they will eventually prescribe.

One little pill works wonders when needed.

We're still praying but now for a quick and speedy recovery from surgery.
