He'd probably figure out how to unlock it, too, given enough time. Raccoons are smart little critters.

That bin is in Peel, bedroom community just west of Toronto.
Here in the heart of a real city, folks secure the lids with tie straps that even a raccoon can't figure out.
Knock it over, sure; but the lid stays tight.
Must be country bumpkins out there in Peel.
In my neighborhood, he'd be a hat in the making.
