Back in the late 90's-early 00's, I saw lots of objects on roofs. Mostly cell phones and drink containers. Not so much, now. I wonder if it might be the now near universal key fob?
Amazing how long a phone would ride up there on city streets. Not so much on freeways. Picked up lots of them from the road. Chased down a few to retrieve them off of the roof. Including a beat partner :)
