A couple of months ago we met (among others) Rolf Lislevand and his Kapsberger Ensemble in an examination of baroque and classical guitar works. They've recorded a great deal of music in those genres, including other stringed instruments that we don't often hear on the concert circuit.
This morning I'd like to introduce you to Vivaldi's baroque Concerto for mandolin, strings and basso continuo in C major, RV425. Rolf Lislevand is the soloist with the Kapsberger Ensemble.
There's an entire YouTube channel devoted to Rolf Lislevand. It's worth a visit.
