Could this be called an an-teak car?
Some great handiwork here.
I don't know how crash-proof a teak body would be, but it's probably not bad compared to the tinfoil they seem to use in most modern cars. Splinters, on the other hand . . .

You joke but a quick look at what splinters did in battle during the age of fighting sail could be eye opening.
Don't think too hard about it, however, or you'll be picturing marksmen in the tops of London buses and chain shot clearing recalcitrant traffic.
