China and Russia state openly what might lead to war between their nations and the USA

The former intelligence professionals who write at Metallicman have identified "causes for war" that both China and Russia have openly stated.

Casus Belli – a cause for just war.

Unannounced, and missing from all the Western Op-Ed’s is what has already transpired this late February 2023. Both Russia and China have directly laid out Casus Belli statements against the United States.

This fact should scare the living daylights out of you.

Really.

It should.

. . .

China released a Global Security Initiative (GSI) Concept Paper on Tuesday 21FEB23, fully elaborating a common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security concept and providing China’s wisdom in tackling growing risks and challenges in traditional and non-traditional security areas.

. . .

[China's paper concludes:]  While a just cause wins its champion wide support, an unjust one condemns its pursuer to be an outcast. The hegemonic, domineering, and bullying practices of using strength to intimidate the weak, taking from others by force and subterfuge, and playing zero-sum games are exerting grave harm. The historical trends of peace, development, cooperation, and mutual benefit are unstoppable. The United States has been overriding truth with its power and trampling justice to serve self-interest. These unilateral, egoistic and regressive hegemonic practices have drawn growing, intense criticism and opposition from the international community.

Countries need to respect each other and treat each other as equals. Big countries should behave in a manner befitting their status and take the lead in pursuing a new model of state-to-state relations featuring dialogue and partnership, not confrontation or alliance. China opposes all forms of hegemonism and power politics, and rejects interference in other countries’ internal affairs. The United States must conduct serious soul-searching. It must critically examine what it has done, let go of its arrogance and prejudice, and quit its hegemonic, domineering and bullying practices.

. . .

Russia’s casus belli for war in Ukraine are numerous and Russia keeps promoting new ones as the war unfolds. The main ones leading up to the war were the genocide in separatist-held regions and NATO expansion threatening Russia. A couple of weeks ago, Russia added the development of WMDs in neighboring provinces as another reason the war is justified. Many of Russia’s casus belli that it has supported reeks of American foreign policy that we all have intimate knowledge of in the last 30 years.

. . .

These are formal Casus Belli statements against the United States.

You might not like the fact that these were made, or Russia or China (the six years of anti-East propaganda makes sure of that) but, you must face the reality. The United States is waging war. It is targeting both Russia and China simultaneously, and the leaders in those countries are not asleep. They know exactly what is going on.

Whether it emerges into …

  • Status quo
  • Accelerates into something far worse
  • Nuclear world war 3

makes no difference. We are at the critical pivot point, as I have said in all my writings, and it is exactly on time.

There's much more at the link.

This is seriously worrying stuff.  Russia and China are already in a state of economic war with the USA.  Russia's in a shooting war in Ukraine in which the USA is the principal supplier of weapons to its opponent - only one or two small steps away from US armed forces actually getting involved in the fighting.  China has ambitions to reoccupy Taiwan, and would probably have done so long ago if the USA had not guaranteed Taiwan's independence.  Both Russia and China see the USA as their main geopolitical and military rival, and I'm sure they're talking together about how things might go if they teamed up to "dethrone" the USA from its current global supremacy.

We are not far from war, unless politicians on all sides come to their senses.  I'm reminded of the months before World War I erupted, when diplomats all over Europe could see events unfolding, but proved incapable of "connecting the dots" and realizing how fast everything could - and did - collapse into open war.  Eventually the British Foreign Secretary, Sir Edward Grey, would state somberly, "The lamps are going out all over Europe; we shall not see them lit again in our lifetime".  How close are we to that becoming true again - and this time worldwide, not limited to Europe?

I've seen war.  I bear its scars to this day.  I would greatly prefer never to see it again, particularly because I trust the current crop of Western politicians - including our own - about as far as I can throw them.  I don't believe they're trustworthy arbiters of when - or if - war may be necessary.

I keep praying that Putin and Whomever is running the Han Country, have the correct coordinates. Once we are free of the District of Criminals, we can once again be America. As long as Pelosi, Schumer, and McConnel hang on-it is smoke and mirrors. We should not be involved in all of these petty wars going on in parts of the world.

Peter, if the memories are not too nasty, I think more than a few of us would learn a LOT from your observations about what happens to Civilians in war.

I spent time in Bosnia during the ethnic cleansing and remember how destruction of power grid, water systems, sewage system, FOOD Systems and medical care made life as a civilian Hell.

People need to get busy with critical needs for their families.

No song is so sad as "Mommy, I'm HUNGRY".

China and Russia have been unapologetically waging war on the United States for nearly a century.

They should seriously consider the idea that they stop sniffing their own farts, and quit looking for pretextual excuses to throw hand grenades into the outhouse just to see the stuff fly.

If we're going to start listing casus belli, it's only the most sublime forbearance that has prevented us from nuking both countries back to the Stone Age on any day since 1946, for causes too numerous to count.

They should grok that Emperor Poopypants won't be the installed leader in perpetuity, and start looking at their hole card.

Aesop where in the history of schoolyards has some little guy threw rocks and stole books from a Big Guys sisters without the Implicit Backing of OTHER Strong Boys?

I'm stupid, you've said that often enough, so I use small words here so bear with me Wise Aesop.

No US Backing the Standup Comic Zelensky would never have started NOTHING with Russia.

Once our economy collapses JUST Like the French after supporting OUR little Proxy War against England (AKA American Revolution) we will ENJOY the same results.

Oh, YEAH, we're TOO STRONG, blah, blah, blah. Said EVERYBODY who has ever started a war. Ask the Kaiser about being Strong.

If China (who has way too much influence in our communications electronics AKA Made in China) decided to SHUT OFF the EBT system and Banking-Credit System how long before EVERY City in America is ablaze.

OH, Yesh, we're TOO SMART for that... Take a gander at our "Leadership".

Protect your family. Pray for wisdom.

I really wish that I could disagree with you, but I am sorry to say that I cannot.
And I have no faith the either our civilian leadership, or our current military leadership.

I would liken the war in Ukraine as having both Russia and the US fighting each other through the use of mercenaries. It is well known that Russia is using the Wagner group to do a lot of its fighting. What most people don't realize, is that the US is using Ukraine like a mercenary group to do its fighting. Those billions sent to Ukraine are paying off those in charge so that they will keep using their citizens to do the fighting for the US.

Oh boy, you picked one of the more literate nutters to quote.

When the guy lives in China ("got a problem with that?") then anything he writes is about China is suspect. If he really lives in China. And when he describes the space aliens living among us, then anything he writes is suspect. Anything.

I suggest you go to his home page and skim-read some of the other articles.

You don't have to go back in time to Bosnia, just look at what the US did to Iraq over the course of 20 years or US/NATO in Libya.
It just grinds my gears when people bemoan Russia's missile strikes on Ukraino-nazis power sub stations but blissfully forget Gen Schwartzkopf & SecState Powell delivering "play by play" of first night of US aerial attack on Baghdad. Those chattering clowns acted like announcers on Monday Night Football
Remember the slogan "Shock & Awe"?
I do.

Michael,

You're being trolled by propaganda from Russia and China. And - shocker - you've fallen for it.

They spent most of the last century listing their daily imaginary "casus belli" with the U.S.
(Google "reactionary capitalist pigs" and "Yankee imperialistic running dogs" sometime. Or maybe watch One, Two, Three, until the message sinks in, Herr Piffel.) It was all horseplop and propaganda.

A roaring lion never caught a zebra.
Learn that lesson.

Peter…
I find it ironic that you post this piece, and immediately follow it with one about liars….

Both the Russian and Chinese administrations are professional liars, without even the low level of accountability that applies to the US Government.

In your memoir of your time as a prison chaplain, you wrote that even the worst of criminals excuse themselves. That they lie, clearly and obviously, regardless of the evidence and the testimony of eye-witnesses that led to their convictions. Let us be clear, Putin and Xi are just as violent, thuggish and murderous as the criminals with whom you dealt professionally.
According to your own experience, criminals ALWAYS blame their victims, their circumstances, the Police and the Courts, rather than taking responsibility for their own actions.

Responding as though Russia and China have Prima Face valid reasons for going to war, is as irrational as accepting the twisted excuses given by those you met behind bars.

Being decent people does not require us to be naive…

“Shock and awe”?

All of which was directed at military targets.
Pretending that there is mo difference between using precision strikes at military targets, and non-precision artillery to rubbelise entire citise is dishonest to a very high degree.

If you want an independent view of the US rules of engagement in Iraq, then I suggest that you read “Running the War in Iraq”, by Australian Maj-Gen Jim Molan, who served as Operations Officer under David Petraeus. EVERY kinetic response in the Iraq theatre came across his desk, and he is quite emphatic that a LOT of potential targets were missed either due to an unacceptable risk of non-combatant casualties, or because the intel could not be verified to an acceptable level, in time.

To compare this level of restraint with the deliberate targeting of an identified children’s refuge - which is what your Russian friends did - is not the argument of a fair and rational mind.

The Americans go all “lawyered-up”.
The Russian Parliament has specifically laid it down that no war-crime by Russian troops will be punished if it is deemed to have benefited Russia.

You're right, of course: but our perspective on their "reasons" isn't the point. The point is that THEY consider they have valid reasons for going to war, and they're going to act on THEIR perspective, not ours - just as criminals do when they commit their crimes.

As I've often said, forewarned is forearmed. Whether the "enemy" is a criminal, or a gang, or an entire nation, the reasoning is the same. Of course, if we choose to ignore the warning and don't arm accordingly, that failure is on us, not them.

(Also, I have no Russian friends, or Ukrainian for that matter. I regard both as among the most corrupt nations on earth, and don't trust either of them further than I can throw them - which isn't very far at all.)

I fully support Poland building its own nuclear weapons. Why can’t Poland be a real country like Iran. Poland knows that its neighbors have genocidal intent, Russification and WW2 proved that. Why can’t Poland be a real country like Israel?

And now there are reports of Russia amassing nuclear subs off our coasts.

@Peter.

What grounds do you have for making the claim that Xi or Vladimir Vladimirovitch believe their own propaganda?

Lying and deception are formally acknowledged part of their published military doctrine. The stated aims of such deception is to influence the politics and public opinion of the peoples of other nations.
Which means you.

So assuming that they are sincere is as naive as assuming that they are accurate.

We go back to the evidence.

@Peter..

At risk of repeating myself, our “perspective” or judgement on the claims of known liars and manipulators is very much the point. .

Yes, it requires us to think, but the alternative is to permit ourselves to be led by the nose, by a bunch of dishonest, totalitarian thugs.

They are the rapists who claims that their victim “deserved it”. The child-molester who whines that a 12yo “led me on”…..
