From Big Country Expat on Gab:
You know it's a rough morning when you can't get the English muffin out of the bag, then it catches fire while toasting, the toaster shorts out, and the butter next to the toaster melts down all over the counter. Next time, I'll stick to the toast.
To which user Steve_S6 replied:
I think I've met that NCO before . . .

Met which one: Mustache Mike or BCE?
An interesting FYI:
They are not English at all. They are labeled American Muffins in British supermarkets. U.S. made Thomas brand gave them the label and introduced them to the Brits just a few decades ago.
LOL Had an English muffin this morning also. Didn't catch on fire but when I was done and went to put away the package I noticed a spot on one so slid the tray out and three in the new box were moldy. I feel fine but the box now rest in the garbage. I don't think it was a muffin morning.
Knew an NCO who gave a made up safety brief to a grunt on using a gas stove. Grunt promptly burned themselves on said stove. Que head shaking.
My 4 year old decided to make her own toast.
The dog alerted us to the smoke before the dectectors did. LOL
That is a good dog
That feeling when everyone knows that the new items added to the safety brief are a direct result of something you did during the last liberty.
"Luverly boys"
So the muffin “ain’t half hot”?
I once saw him as the narrator in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Great responses to the hecklers.
I know that face! The iconic sergeant major https://youtu.be/5y2WIOa7CEI
Don't refer to a Sergeant Major as a NCO within earshot, they'll gut where you stand.
I once had 18" flames in an empty electric oven. It was an effective test of all the household smoke detectors. Apparently, no one had run the "clean" cycle for a few years; I was the new roomie trying to be considerate...
