No Snippet today

Due to lots of other things going on, I haven't had time to select and prepare an excerpt for the usual Saturday Snippet today.  Therefore, please amuse yourselves with the other bloggers listed in the sidebar.  They write good, too!

Of particular interest are these blog articles that caught my eye recently:

“Pride” Is A Thinly Veiled Color Revolution To Destroy Western Civilization

Ford F-150 surprise (a special nozzle is needed to refuel from containers)

Interesting and thought-provoking.

Re Middle East: At this point, anyone who gives a flying @#$% about ANY of the nations/races involved needs their head checked.

For the Ford thing it's other brands too. My wife's new Honda is the same way. And she's the kind of person who drives until the low fuel light comes on. It's a worry for me.

My 2019 Honda Ridgeline uses the same capless filler and there's a funnel/adapter stowed with the miniature spare tire. I use an automotive oil-filler funnel when I'm rotating non-oxygenated gas from my small-engine/SHTF supply. If I traveled to places more remote than where I live, the funnel would go with the spare cans.

Subaru Foresters (at least through 2016) use a cap, but the filler needs either that funnel or the extension hose that some of the older gas cans provided.

Here is my comment i left over there.

"My 2014 is the same way. The spout came with the truck its in the small storage space under the rear driverside seat.

Its an anti siphon tool to prevent people from stealing your gas. If you dont insert it 1st then the syphon tube is redirected outside the tank."

All those comments of people just realizing it when its been standard on all fords since 2013. Every vehicle has one of the funnels included and where its stored, how to use it and why are all in the manual... obviously some people dont read the manual.

@Genji: Unfortunately, they take an interest in us, even if it's only to hate us. We'd better keep an eye on that part of the world, because there are at least two countries there that would happily nuke us back into the Stone Age if they ever figured out how to do it.

Oh, Peter, you're so funny. At this point, all they have to do is sit back and watch. With the deep state in charge of everything in this country, it's only a matter of time until the decline reaches a critical point, and all our systems fall apart like a one-hoss shay. With the bonus of nuclear armed enemies poised to take advantage.
