The Lancet was founded in 1823, and has been described as "the world's highest-impact academic journal". The article (a copy of which may be found here) was a "preprint", which The Lancet describes as:
Preprints with The Lancet is part of SSRN´s First Look, a place where journals identify content of interest prior to publication. Authors have opted in at submission to The Lancet family of journals to post their preprints on Preprints with The Lancet. The usual SSRN checks and a Lancet-specific check for appropriateness and transparency have been applied. Preprints available here are not Lancet publications or necessarily under review with a Lancet journal. These preprints are early stage research papers that have not been peer-reviewed.
The original article concludes:
The consistency seen among cases in this review with known COVID-19 vaccine adverse events, their mechanisms and related excess death, coupled with autopsy confirmation and physician-led death adjudication, suggests there is a high likelihood of a causal link between COVID-19 vaccines and death in most cases. Further urgent investigation is required for the purpose of clarifying our findings.
After that finding, is it any surprise that so authoritative an "establishment journal" as The Lancet withdrew it less than 24 hours after its release? I'm surprised it even made it as far as a "preprint" publication. The article challenges the "establishment line" on COVID-19 by examining actual case histories and records, making it very hard to refute without independent, in-depth and rigorous analysis - none of which appear to have been conducted by The Lancet and/or whoever was responsible for pulling it from circulation.
If you expect the medical establishment to actually conduct "further urgent investigation", I have a bridge in Brooklyn, NYC to sell you at a very attractive price. Cash only, please, and in small bills . . .

Risch's comment at the end is ridiculous. In the US alone, well over a hundred million people got vaccinated; even if one in a thousand suffered some kind of adverse effect, you'd still be looking at over a hundred and fifty thousand people available for studies.
In a country the size of the US, statistically rare events can still have large absolute numbers of people affected by them.
Fearmongering is fearmongering, whether it comes from mainstream or alternative news sources.
It’s amazing how much effort is going to not study adverse jab effects, and hide the data.
How ivermectin was slimed was eye opening.

Sadistics was never my favorite (or best math), but may I point out that this is secondary research (a review of papers regarding someone else's research), "We initially identified 678 studies and, after screening for our inclusion criteria, included 44 papers that contained 325 autopsy cases and one necropsy case. Three physicians independently reviewed all deaths and determined whether COVID-19 vaccination was the direct cause or contributed significantly to death."
Next: their population size was 325 cases that "Three physicians ... determined whether COVID-19 vaccination was the direct cause..." - in other words, the authors had someone else doing the sifting.
Unfortunately, you may be confusing limited study size with total population; the authors, however, had no such intention.
As I said, statistics was never my strong math; I always preferred the higher theoretical maths - never did anything much with them though!

You are aware of the massive spike in excess mortality among the U.S. working-age population? Coinciding not with the virus (2020), but with the rollout of the jab (2021)?
froginblender - my understanding per the media is climate change is causing the excess deaths!
I recently finished reading Dr. Pierre Kory's book The War On Ivermectin. He has a lot of insight into the medical journal industry and how co-opted it has been by Big Pharma and government propaganda.
Like Peter here, I am only surprised that this report made it into the pre-print at all. Dr. Kory's book as well as Kennedy's book The Real Anthony Fauci, are maddening to read. I could only do it in small sessions, having to let my blood pressure cool off before resuming reading.
