Off-road racing craziness

I recently learned about an annual race called 'King of the Hammers', held each February at Means Dry Lake in California.  It seems to be a combination of off-road racing and rock-crawling, and probably requires more than a little lunacy from its drivers!  Here are highlights from the 2013 race.

That was a particularly tough year for the race - there were only 27 finishers, with 102 vehicles coming to grief along the way or retiring for various reasons.

There are many more video clips on YouTube from the event over its history of several years.
