"Operation Red Mirage"?

We should understand that from now until the elections in November, there will be a series of attempts to manipulate the American electorate:  to condition it to produce and/or accept a politically correct outcome, one that favors the progressive left and destabilizes the "deplorable" faction in US politics.  The first signs are here already, and in case you missed them, I'd like to point them out.

First, consider The Democratic Strategist.  In its own words:

A Message from Managing Editor Ed Kilgore

The Democratic Strategist has three editorial goals–(1) to provide an explicitly and unapologetically partisan platform for the discussion of Democratic political strategy, (2) to insist upon greater use of data and greater reliance on empirical evidence in strategic thinking and (3) to act as a neutral forum and center of discussion for all sectors of the Democratic community.

As The Democratic Strategists’ editorial philosophy states, the publication will be “proudly partisan, firmly and insistently based on facts and data and emphatically open to all sectors and currents of opinion within the Democratic community”.

Kudos to them for being so honest and up-front about their agenda.  Not all political organizations are.

Ed Kilgore wrote an article in the New York Intelligencer, a left-wing journal.  Note that he did not identify his own affiliation and outlook, potentially misleading readers, who might thus take his words for serious journalism instead of party political propaganda.  He warned of what a progressive digital data firm, Hawkfish, calls a "Red Mirage", where initial election results might show Trump ahead, but later ones (incorporating many postal votes) might overturn his winning margin, leading to confusion and confrontation.

[I]f by election night all polling place ballots and 40% of vote-by-mail ballots (in states where vote-by-mail will surge high above historical levels) are counted, Trump will temporarily lead in even safely blue states. Given his history of false claims and dismissal of vote-by-mail, Trump may exploit this Red Mirage to claim victory and dispute any subsequent change to the electoral map.

. . .

So at this point, the faith in an Election Night result is not being shaped by Trump campaign preparations for pulling a fast one. That will likely change, so there is no time like the present to begin educating everyone on the red mirage and its sources.

There's more at the link.

On the face of it, his article might be expressing genuine concern that the public would misunderstand the counting of many postal votes, which could radically change the announced results of the election so far.  However, there's another side, one expressed by more conservative commenters.  For example, commenter Matt Bracken circulates this diagram on social media (click it for a larger view):

Bracken concludes:  "... the entire DemSocRat reason for pushing mass universal mail-in ballots is to swing the election with fake votes after Nov. 4."  He sees the so-called "Red Mirage" as an attempt to condition the American electorate to accept the result of such manipulation, and not to question it.

You'll have to decide for yourself whether you believe Kilgore's or Bracken's interpretation of what Hawkfish has to say.  I must confess that from my perspective, looking at how the progressive left has warped and manipulated anything they could get their hands on in recent months, I'm inclined to agree with Bracken.  When postal votes are issued en masse, with few if any safeguards to ensure they reach those they're supposed to reach, and even fewer safeguards to prevent their manipulation and misuse before they're returned, that's far from a remote possibility.

As if to echo Mr. Kilgore's warning, in the Washington Post, Rosa Brooks warned yesterday about the possibility of post-election turbulence.  Bold, underlined text is my emphasis.

A landslide for Joe Biden resulted in a relatively orderly transfer of power. Every other scenario we looked at involved street-level violence and political crisis.

. . .

[To avoid chaos] The media also has an important role. Responsible outlets can help educate the public about the possibility — indeed, the likelihood — that there won’t be a clear winner on election night because an accurate count may take weeks, given the large number of mail-in ballots expected in this unprecedented mid-pandemic election. Journalists can also help people understand that voter fraud is extraordinarily rare, and, in particular, that there’s nothing nefarious about voting by mail. Social media platforms can commit to protecting the democratic process, by rapidly removing or correcting false statements spread by foreign or domestic disinformation campaigns and by ensuring that their platforms aren’t used to incite or plan violence.

Finally, ordinary citizens can help, too — perhaps most of all. As the jurist Learned Hand said in 1944, “Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it . . . while it lies there, it needs no constitution, no law, no court to save it.” This is as true now as it was then: When people unite to demand democracy and the rule of law, even repressive regimes can be stopped in their tracks. Mass mobilization is no guarantee that our democracy will survive — but if things go as badly as our exercises suggest they might, a sustained, nonviolent protest movement may be America’s best and final hope.

Again, more at the link.

Reading Ms. Brooks' article in isolation, despite its strong left-wing perspective, one might think she was merely offering suggestions as to how the news media might help to avoid complications.  On the other hand, reading it in the light of Mr. Kilgore's article a couple of days earlier, do we detect an attempt to build momentum, to "educate" news media in their "progressive responsibilities", to get them all "on message" and make sure that their propaganda is prepared for use well in advance of the need for it?  Is this part of preparing the ground for what Mr. Bracken describes as the "Red Mirage" takeover bid?

I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.  For continuing perspective on this, look for more articles in the mainstream media on the same theme in coming days and weeks, all pointing out the need to warn people that the initial election results might not be the final ones, and to expect confusion.

Consider this, too, in the light of the ongoing Antifa/BLM riots and unrest across the country, all designed to destabilize our society and pressure voters into supporting a liberal/progressive agenda and candidates.  Putting that together with the "Red Mirage", I can't think of more fertile ground into which to inject thousands, if not millions, of fraudulent postal ballots, in an attempt to overturn what might otherwise be unfavorable election results, and ensure a progressive victory.  Can you?  Are you connecting the same dots I am?

Civil War 2.0 begins in earnest next year, no matter who wins the elections.
The Left has worked hard to make this so for decades.

In 2016, California made ballot harvesting legal.

In Clinton's first term, they began the "Secretary of State Project", to choose those who count the votes.

Not how any of that works. You get to 270 and it's over.

case in point re: propaganda coordination

yesterday, article in the Atlantic with anonymous sources defaming President Trump

today, Biden campaign and VoteVets have ad's out regarding it and no doubt all the usual suspects in the media echoing it... despite 4 NAMED sources saying it didn't happen

I have been connecting the same dots. The Democrat/Socialist/Communist are now clearly signally what their intent is. They are going to start cranking out tens of thousands if not millions of fraudulent "mail-in" ballots, all for Joe and Kamala the day after the election. As this happens the D/S/C will be in favorable courts getting their ballots declared legal even if the chain of custody is completely broken -- "ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED" is their war cry. Hopefully the Republicans mount challenges and counter challenges to this Fraud. The real fight needs to be for the House and Senate to assure that the fight ends in early January 2021 with the affirmation of Trump.

The second part of the D/S/C strategy if the vote is in dispute, even if the Congress affirms Trump, is to have a rouge military group commanded by Obama Generals execute a coup to place the D/S/C in power. The D/S/C has already openly strategized that. If that occurs we are in for a bloody civil war.

My condolences to you Peter that you became a citizen at such a time that in a way it may count for nought.

But what happens when the total votes exceeds the number of registered voters for that area?

I hate mail-in voting and vote-harvesting, with a passion.

Once again. E-Day should be a 24 hour day. Start at 12:01 midnight, end 12:00 midnight. Or 6:01AM EST (adjust across the time zones so they all start and end at the same time) and end 6:00AM EST the next day. One Day to walk, drive, ride, crawl, swim, to one's precinct. And show actual REAL-ID id, or a passport, or a real-id valid voter's id, and dip one's thumb in semi-permanent ink once voting is finished. All voting done on paper (sure, machines can tabulate, but hard copy must be kept to verify.)

No snout-counting until the following Tuesday, which is the last day for absentee ballots. Then the counting can happen. And be verified.

Election Fraud? Minimum 20 years for one instance of fraud. 10 instances is Life. 20 instances is DEATH by Hanging in the public square. An instance is a fake vote - so a person voting twice is one instance. And no plea-bargaining down. Prison for vote fraud is some Fed pen out West in BFE where the people spend their time at hard labor.

Enough of this. I've been watching election fraud since I was 13 years old and understood what was going on. And it's usually (not always, but most likely ONE PARTY THAT DOES THE FRAUD and it isn't represented by a pachydermic animal.

That may be true if the States certify their votes. The actual vote by the electors is December 15, if I recall correctly.
Until the States certify their votes, all is presumptive.
This is where the Secretary of States Project and the Demonrats planned lawfare campaign comes into action.
Sec of States refusing to certify election results until the fraudulent votes are in, and their lawyers suing to delay results and to stop any closure on the election until after December 15, tge Ds can claim no result in the general election, and send the election to the House of Representatives for a decision there among all the candidates who recieved electoral votes.
Unless reelected, Trumps' term ends January 21, 2021. If there is no election result certified by then, the office of President becomes vacant, and Nancy Pelosi takes office as President.
Then tge sh*t hits the fan, if it has not done so before.

Beans,

What happens if I go to the polling place in person, present valid ID and vote, and then some SOB gets a hold of a mail-in ballot in my name and sends it in? Do *I* get 20 years? After all, as far as anyone can tell, I was the one that voted twice.

That is how Orange County, CA turned blue. Of six congressional districts in the county, only one held a slight blue lead. One election night and that week, five of six districts remained red. Then, over the following weeks, all districts turned a deep blue.

The absurdly asinine annoying part was the Rs did not put up a fight. Beginning in 2012, the commies had said they will turn Orange County blue.

Not to pick on Uncle Mikey, many people seem to ignore or dismiss that this election is more than the election of the president and vice president. All of the House is up for election this year. 35% (35/100) of the Senate is up for election this year.

Also, today I heard on the radio that multiple mail bags containing 20,000 ballots were found in a dumpster in Lost Angeles. A security camera on a nearby building captured the deed. I think they already caught the mailman, I'm not sure I heard that correctly.

Tom Fitton at Judicial Watch has found millions of fraudulent ballots across the several states. In just Los Angeles I think the number was ~3 million. Judicial Watch does this by suing each state, that would be the Secretary of State and/or the Registrar of voters.

Need to get every mother's son and daughter we can to vote in person, on election day. If you can stand in line at Wallyworld, you can do it to vote.

Beans said...

Roy. It's simple. No mail-in votes.

Absentee votes must be mailed registered and certified. Requests must be made by the voter, with valid reasons (I'm overseas doing xyz) and must have a witness to the sealing of the ballot.

Same penalties for futzing with absentee votes. Moreso for doing it across state lines or from outside the country. Postmark must be dated on E-Day, and required to be in by following Tuesday.

Seriously, if you are that interested in voting by absentia, you can shuck out a couple bucks for express mail.

I am also sure that US consolates and embassies can be part of it. Or not.

I mean, seriously, how hard is it to do elections correctly? If Iraq, a year after Sodamn Insane fell, can have a valid election with 80% turn our and little to zero fraud, why can't this mighty nation get it friggin right?

If Mexico can have valid voter id issued to every elector, why can't we?

It's almost as if one party (cough, Democrats, cough cough) wants to make our system so fragile that any incompetent (cough, Democrats, cough cough) can cheat the system.

Is there some way to check the voter rolls for a specific address, to verify that no bogus names have been added for fraud purposes? Over the past ~year, a LOT of mail has shown up with names that have no connection with my address. I'm in CA, if that makes a difference.

Larry said...

Yes, Will, but guess which party strenuously fights against doing anything to clean up the voter rolls? 37 voters listing a gas station as their home of residence? What's the problem with that, they'll ask. Why do you hate the homeless?
